Eric Saubert's career continues with an 11th stop in the NFL.
The veteran tight end has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Monday. Saubert, who will turn 31 in May, most recently played for the San Francisco 49ers in 2024.
Saubert (6-5, 248 pounds) played for the Denver Broncos from 2021-2022, hauling in 23 receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns in 34 games (10 starts). While modest, that was the best two-year run of Saubert's career.
As for the current Broncos, they have four true tight ends on the roster in Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, Lucas Krull and Thomas Yassmin plus tight end/fullback hybrid Nate Adkins.
Since leaving Denver, Saubert spent time with four other teams before landing in Seattle. He had stints with five other clubs before landing with the Broncos in 2021.
Now entering his ninth season in the league, Saubert has 47 career receptions for 389 yards and three touchdowns on his resume. He totaled 11 catches for 97 yards and one score in 17 games (three starts) with the 49ers last fall.
