Blake's best year passing was barely over 60%. The years he had more then 10 games starting he had %'s of 57.5, 56.1, 58.0, 55.3, 60.9, 55.9, 56,7. So having more attempts has nothing to do with it but his inaccuracy over the years does.

As for Quan getting special numbers from Blake what does that have to do with accuracy. It just means Blake targeted Boldin more then the other guys and for good reason. Boldin could have had an even better year if Blakes accuracy wasnt the 24th worst in completion % out of the 32 starting QB's in the league in 2003.

He isnt an accurate QB, he has never been know to be an accurate QB. If you think we would have one more games with Blake the McCown you could have used longer throws, less fumbles, ect, but not accuracy beucase it just isnt true.

As I said in the earlier post, I dont think Blake is really any more accurate than McCown, but it goes w/o saying he has had many more attempts, and thrown the ball down the field much more often in his career.

What I am trying to relate is that although Blakes comp % hovers around 56% he did it over 13 years. If McCown plays for 13 years and has over 3500 attempts I cant imagine how badly his comp % will fall.....can you say 50% -52%?

The first time Blake got to play with a quality team his record was 7-3 in New Orleans (13 TD's - 9 INT's). Blake NEEDS to have quality personnel around him. At one point during that 2000 sesason when HE brought the Saints back from the dead he reeled off six consecutive victories and propelled the Saints (of all people) into playoff contention. He's not a LEADER. He's a technician. He's a role player. You don't hand the reins to him to BUILD a franchise. That's the role Jeff George played with Dennis Green and it was successful. With a team like the Eagles Blake could do the same thing. With a running game and adequate protection Jeff Blake can be very dangerous. In New Orleans he had Joe Horn and Ricky Williams. In Philly there is equal talent.

On Blake

Blake is one of those guys that have surpreme confidence in himself and that is not a bad thing but when it spills over into his excuses to justify the obvious that he really isn't that great QB that he sees himself... well it's just a pain in the ass to hear him go on and on with his self made pick me ups. Hey Jeff, you had NOTHING to do with the Eagles getting to the Super Bowl and in reality you will just be a fan with the greatest seat in the house to watch the game.
