Michael Hoecht is not off to a good start with his new team.

Hoecht left the Los Angeles Rams to sign with the Buffalo Bills this week, inking a three-year deal worth $21 million – the first big payday of his career. Unfortunately, he won’t see the field until the second month of the season.

Bills GM Brandon Beane revealed on Friday that both Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi have both been suspended six games for violating the league’s PED policy. It’s not the way Hoecht or the Bills envisioned his tenure starting but it’s the reality they both now face.

Bills GM Brandon Beane said new DE Michael Hoecht and DT Larry Ogunjobi got a notice for a PED with a suspension and both will be out for 6 games to start 2025.

They'll be with the team through training camp, and then away from the team for 4 weeks.

In his four seasons with the Rams, Hoecht recorded 13.5 sacks, 180 tackles and 15 tackles for a loss. He also blocked three kicks in 2024 alone, becoming a key contributor on defense and special teams.

Hoecht is from Canada so he was excited to return to Upstate New York, which is near the border up north. His fans back home will just have to wait a while to see him play for the Bills.
