The Seacoast high school Athletes of the Week winners for March 10-15 are Exeter High School girls indoor track athletes Lexi Paterna, Bri Paterna, Izzy Bremer and Eli Cross, and Oyster River High School boys basketball player Max Scopel, presented by York County Community College.

Lexi Paterna, Bri Paterna, Izzy Bremer and Eli Cross joins previous girls winners this winter: Exeter basketball player Nicole Melick, Portsmouth Christian Academy basketball player Zuri Petlick, Marshwood/Traip wrestler Savannah Chapman, Dover High School swimmer MaryLou Carroll, Exeter hockey player Rylee York, Exeter girls hockey player Grace Weed, Marshwood basketball player Emily Clark, Marshwood basketball player Sarah Theriault, Berwick Academy basketball player Gracie Smith, Exeter basketball player Lexy Rogers, St. Thomas Aquinas basketball player Emma Toriello, Marshwood basketball player Natalie Lathrop and Berwick Academy basketball player Ella Smith.

Scopel joins previous boys winners this winter: Exeter hockey player Chase Barbour, Spaulding hockey player Anthony Allen, Spaulding wrestler Jayden Deal, Dover High School hockey player Owen Lovering, Portsmouth basketball player Finnegan McCauley, Marshwood basketball player Ronan Garrett, St. Thomas Aquinas High School boys hockey player AJ Kozlowski, Portsmouth basketball player Derek Swartz, Marshwood/Noble/Traip/Sanford hockey player Connor Lentz, Portsmouth alpine skier Nic Davis, Oyster River hockey player Talon Beyer, Dover hockey player Andrew LeBlanc and Winnacunnet swimmer Shea Olofson.

The weekly polls runs each Monday through midnight Thursday, and can be found at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports. The honors are presented by York County Community College.

Scopel won the online poll by receiving 292 votes (47%), earning Athlete of the Week honors.

Exeter basketball player Nik Greco placed second with 167 votes, while St. Thomas Aquinas hockey player Aiden Tibbetts was third with 152 votes.

Scopel scored 14 points in Oyster River's Division II semifinal loss to Sanborn last Monday.

"Max has been one of the hardest workers all season," Oyster River head coach Zach Lewis said. "It's really great to see his work being recognized by people outside of the team."

Exeter's 4x800-meter relay team, comprised of Izzy Bremer, Eli Cross, Bri Paterna and Lexi Paterna, received 250 votes and won the athlete of the week honors with 52% of the vote.

The Exeter quartet placed third at the Nike Indoor Nationals in a time of 9 minutes 15.17 seconds, earning All-American status at The Armory in New York City. The group also broke its own school record of 9:23.84.

Oyster River hockey player Mallory DeSantis placed second with 128 votes, and Oyster River track athlete Haley Kavanagh placed third with 100 votes.

"It's a great honor to win athlete of the week as a group, as the four of them wouldn't want it any other way," Exeter head coach Nate Leveillie said. "They work out as a team, race as a team and in this case, achieved greatness as a team."
