Welcome to the 14th installment of the Seacoast high school Athletes of the Week for the 2024-25 winter sports season, presented by York County Community College.

This week, and in weeks to come, you can vote for a girls athlete and a boys athlete of the week.

You must be registered for see images attach


This week's poll is for outstanding athletic accomplishments during the week of March 10-16.

How do I cast my vote?​


Voting can be completed through the two ballots listed below. Voting closes at midnight Thursday, March 20.

How do we learn who wins?​


Winners will be announced in a story published on Friday, March 21 at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports.

May I nominate for future ballots?​


Yes. Nominate a Seacoast high school athlete by sending an email to [email protected]. Feel free to send us a photo of the athlete, too.

BOYS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES​

Max Scopel, Oyster River, basketball​

Scopel scored 14 points in Oyster River's Division II semifinal loss to Sanborn last Monday.

Aiden Tibbetts, St. Thomas Aquinas, hockey​


You must be registered for see images attach


Tibbetts scored the game-winning goal in overtime to help STA defeat defending Division II state champion Oyster River, 6-5 in Wednesday's Division II semifinal.

Nik Greco, Exeter, basketball​


You must be registered for see images attach


Greco scored a team-high 17 points in Exeter's Division I semifinal loss to Bedford, 58-55 last Wednesday.


GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES​

Izzy Bremer, Eli Cross, Bri Paterna, Lexi Paterna, Exeter, indoor track​

The Exeter High School's 4x800 girls relay team comprising Izzy Bremer, Eli Cross, Bri Paterna and Lexi Paterna placed third in the Nike Indoor Nationals on Saturday at The Armory in New York City. The team's time was 9 minutes 15.17 seconds, earning All-American status with the high finish. The group's time broke the former Exeter school record time of 9:23.84.

All-American girls: Exeter relay team shatters own record at Nike Indoor Nationals

Mallory DeSantis, Oyster River, hockey​


DeSantis scored the lone goal for the Bobcats in Saturday's Division I state championship game loss to Hanover, 6-1.

Haley Kavanagh, Oyster River, indoor track​

Kavanagh was part of the distance medley relay that placed ninth overall (12 minutes 39 seconds) at the New Balance Indoor Nationals on Saturday. She also placed 45th in the mile (4:55.82).
