Is it just me or is there something familiar about the plot in this movie. Oh well, it's not the first time Hollywood has stolen an idea from some obscure source.

I think it's funny that people get all up in arms about Perry White being black in the new superman movie, and Annie being black in the new remake...

But basically Everyone in the Moses movie is white (and also not Jewish) and nobody bats an eye. lol

You obviously don't read the trades. This is actually a big deal. Ridley Scott has had to defend himself about this a lot over the past couple months. Christian Bale talked about it a few days ago himself.

The race issue isn't even the biggest issue for many. Ridley Scott made it clear that he did not believe that Moses had ever lived and that the Exodus account was not to be taken as historically true. Odd choice to direct a film described as "a biblically-inspired epic film," eh?

Here is an example of his knowledge on the subject/story: "So I have to part the Dead Sea and I’m not going to part the Dead Sea because I don’t believe it. I don’t believe I can part the Dead Sea and keep shimmering water on each side. I’m an absolutely very, very practical person."

Uh, Mr. Scott - it was the Red Sea.

Guess he was so busy looking to find natural causes for the plagues/miracles described in the bible that he mixed up his seas.

I haven't seen the movie. I was relying on reviews from Christian based sites such as CharismaNews.com. And the insult was uncalled for.
