Expert Picks for Sunday's game

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Arizona at San Francisco. The Cards' defense has played surprising well to keep them in every game this season. The 49ers' offense has shown some sparks, although it often has come too late for them to win games. Look for them to hold serve in gritty, ugly fashion thanks to a heavy dose of Kevan Barlow. 49ers 17, Cardinals 14.

USA TODAY-Zen Zone
Arizona (+1½) at San Francisco

Niners coach Dennis Erickson walks into his psychiatrist's office and says, "Nobody thinks we're a good team." Doc says, "Don't say that. You haven't played everybody yet."

Cardinals 24, 49ers 20

Everyone picked the Cards at ESPN...wow when will we ever see that again?

Novacek picked against the Cards!

Cardinals (1-3) at 49ers (0-4)
The 49ers are clearly not the team they used to be, but they still have the ability to win games. Working in their favor this week is the fact that the Cardinals are coming off a victory at home last week and now must travel north. Expect the Cardinals to take a step back, and for the 49ers to finally break into the win column.

Pick: 49ers

CBSSportsline was split 3 saying Cards...3 saying Niners...

Uh, and how many times have we given up a TD rushing? I would also like to ask Aaron Stecker how he felt this past Monday because we tatooed him several times. If Barlow is their only weapon to throw at us this weekend, I certainly hope that he put himself down for extra time in the whirlpool after the game.

I dont think the Cardinals have won enough, both in general and on the road, to warrant any indignation over various media types picking the 9ers.

This game will be an excellent barometer on where they are at--- was last weeks performance one of those one week deals for bad teams where it all works for them, or was it another step towards being a good team. I cant wait to find out.

I always get nervous when people like Chris Carter are picking us to win.

Hey, he was giving the Cards a lot of love on Sunday.

The Cards were one of the feature of his article.

Everybody exept Costas has us picked from Inside The NFL. I hate Costas anyway, he's already in last place this will just shove him farther down.

Very few media types have even the slightest inkling as to how good this team really is.

The Cardinals haven't proved much except to me a few thousand die hards like me and maybe the Saints.

I'd bet teams like the Falcons, Patriots and Rams have a much better idea of how good the Cardinals are than almost anyone else. We are defined by decades of patsy play.

This team isn't that same team, we all know it and it's time for everyone else to find it out.

This may be the last time we are below the radar screen. I'm loading up on the Big Red this week. If they lose, I'll slit my wrists.

costas will always hate the cardinals because they left his beloved St. Louis...I have heard him on the radio a few times (local AZ stations) - he is not even subtle in his hate for the bidwills and the Cardinals. However...if they would have stayed in st. louis..he would love them...
