Check out the blogs of ESPN NFC East blogger Matt Mosley. He says Giants safety C.C. Brown was torched repeatedly by the Saints. No reason why the Cardinals can't take advantage Sunday night if Warner gets some time....

Kareem McKenzie was taken off the field on a cart after he stepped on a football that was just fumbled. I have not seen an update on him yet.

Wow. What could he have done/torn/broken?

Portland Oregon these days.
Hubby and I were discussing the Giants last night.

It will be a tough game -- tough opponent, on the east coast. BUT I can't help noticing that the Giants 5 victories have been against the Redskins, Dallas, Bucs, Raiders, and Chiefs.

NOTES: The Saints have scored on each of their opening drives this season, with four TDs and one field goal. ... Brees joined Archie Manning and Aaron Brooks as the only other QBs to pass for 15,000 yards and 100 TDs as a Saint. ... Giants right tackle Kareem McKenzie left with a groin injury in the second quarter. ... Saints LB Scott Fujita went out with a left calf injury in the first half.

This is from ESPN..... No updates though.

Here is more.....

The extent of what the Giants called "a groin injury" wasn't immediately known after the 48-27 loss to the Saints. But the fact that a cart was used, and that Tom Coughlin and so many of McKenzie's teammates came out to comfort him before he was driven away, makes it seem likely that the Giants' streak of having the same five offensive linemen start for 38 straight games is about to come to an end.
McKenzie was replaced by rookie William Beatty, the Giants' third-round pick out of UConn. He's a natural left tackle who's been playing both positions because, he said, his instructions are, "Whatever happens, make sure you're ready."
He believes he's ready, even though quarterback Eli Manning did get hit once on Beatty's watch Sunday. He's just not comfortable becoming a starter without actually beating someone out.

Even when he was in position, Saints wide receivers treated him as nothing more than a nuisance.

"We had two people in spots a couple of times on the deep ball and didn't make a play," Coughlin said after the game. "They would go up and get the ball and we're standing on the ground. We've got to locate the ball and get up as if the ball is ours."
Are you listening Kurt! Trust Larry, Steve and Q to make the plays...

I can honestly say I hadn't thought of that and you just made me feel a whole lot better about this game.

With that said, what has me worried isn't so much the Giants, but the weather. Late October in northern NJ is not exactly what a passing offense desires.:bang:

Mariucci was talking about that on NFL network. They showed 2 TD passes one to Moore one to Colston. Both plays Brees ran play action and the same
safety, Brown #41, came flying up to play the run leaving the middle wide open for the TD pass.

I'm sure the Cards will see that on film, and I'm sure the Giants will be keying on it themselves. I actually expect to see Patrick play a big role next week, I think the Giants will try to take away the WR's and the TE will end up with a favorable matchup. I just hope we can give Kurt time to burn them on it.

I agree Patrick could go wild IF Michael Boley is out again next week. Not sure what his status is, but he has the speed to match up with tight ends in coverage.

Early reports call for mild weather in the High 50's. Shouldn't be a problem if that holds up.

The problem as i see it is that the Giants are quite capable of rushing 4 and droping seven against us and getting pressure
Kurt doesn't cope with that well he wants them to blitz him
