What a classless ****** you are. I cannot believe a reputable paper would print something so crass and flat out stupid. Football is played in many climates, both indoors and out, or did you fail geography in 3rd grade. I know one thing, you are NOT smarter than a 5th grader. Hell, I'd be willing to put most 2nd graders up against your pea-sized rock of grey matter.

But enough about your juvenile "barbs" (and I use that term loosely because frankly, most Cardinals fans aren't sweating your comments, they're most likely sweating the fine weather with beautiful women - but you dream about that while you stuff your girlfriend's face with more meat and dairy products). Love that he's bitching about how the Cardinals fans weren't wearing the jerseys of any former players. One of the things I love to do when watching any NFL game is scan through the shots of fans to see whose jersey they're wearing.

Lots of Jake Plummers. Bunches of Pat Tillmans. Several Larry Centers. One David Boston, (God help that one) and I think I saw an Aeneas Williams jersey. Probably some more I'm not remembering right now.

And criticizing fans for wearing the jersey of a guy like Morey? Do you realize what a diehard lover of football you have to be to fall in love with Sean Moray to the point that you buy his jersey?

I rarely to never wear jerseys of former players. And that is because I like to support our current players.

That said, I wore my Tillman jersey to a game once this season and I wore my Aeneas jersey when he was inducted into the Ring of Honor.

Stupid argument to make.

BTW, I saw a Vanden Bosch jersey on Sunday.

My wife wore her Aeneas jersey this Sunday because she knew he was going to be the honorary captain. Nice touch in the awards ceremony replaying his speech where he predicted the division championship and the Super Bowl. Also, nice to see him on stage at the end.

You know why AZ fans don't wear jerseys of the old school guys like the losers you apparently worship... WE DON'T WORSHIP LOSING. I read your article "Roof: An Inside Job" and thought I'd make a few corrections. First you slam the Phoenix area for having lots of golf courses, but a lack of water. What lack of water? Are you familiar with the Central Arizona Project? I doubt you are. Are you aware that Arizona golf courses use recycled water, oh, I didn't think you were. Were you aware that most land and water use experts predict that the Valley of the Sun can reach a population of somewhere near 10 million (about double its current number) before water issues become a concern? (Source "Phoenix in Perspective" by Gary Gammage Jr)

You then went on to say the Valleys landscape is like 'the worst of the moon.' Firstly I was unaware the moon had a wide variety of topography, I'm glad you illuminated me to that tidbit. Secondly, do you realize the Sonoran Desert (which Phoenix is a part of) is the wettest deserts in the world? In fact, the only biosphere on Earth with more varied and diverse flora and fauna is the South American rain forest. Its hardly an ugly place, in fact many publications (like Arizona Highways) exist for the primary purpose of its diverse beauty. But hey, I wouldn't expect a professional writer to know what he was talking about.

Your articles title seemed to be about the roof and why it was closed, yet you meandered and diverted all over the place, writing akin to someone lost in the woods. You seem outraged about the roof being closed, but are you really so clueless that you don't understand why it was closed? It makes the stadium louder, thats a benefit to the home team. I'm not sure if you're a regular football writer or not, but a loud crowd makes it difficult for an offensive team to hear the signals. With that in mind, why would Arizona want to not use such an advantage that they had access to?

You also seem upset about Arizona native Jordin Sparks singing the national anthem, why? You do realize she grew up and went to High School just a few miles from the stadium, right? Her father was a standout player at Arizona State University. Why wouldn't the organization hire a local musical act thats popular right now to sing the anthem?

You wrapped up your column by knocking the stadium, but yet you don't really offer any apt criticism. The stadium isn't perfect (no structures are), but its been widely recognized as one of the best in the NFL. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was so blown away by it, the Cowboys organization is taking many design cues from University of Phoenix stadium. The stadium does a good job addressing the desert climate (keeping the heat out), and is quite striking looking, what more do you really want from a building?

I know it wold pain you to just say "the better team won" or accept the fact that Phoenix passed Philly in population, but aren't you an adult? Its no wonder people are fleeing the Northeast which seems full of bitter folks like yourself, and coming to the friendly southwest. I'm quite shocked that your paper allowed you to even write your column, it came across like something you'd see a teenager post on a message board, but maybe that sort of leadership is why the newspaper industry is in the toilet.

Anyway, thanks for visiting and spending some money here. I hope you can eventually grow up and write adult level columns, heck if you do maybe you'd be able to find a job at a media outlet in the Nations 5th largest city.
