Not necessarily free agent news, but Rams traded former #2 overall pick Greg Robinson to the Lions - reportedly for a 6th round pick. Robinson was demoted in LA, so not major news for the division, but still puts a finish on a huge Rams mistake.

Read that of the 8 picks generated by the RG3 trade only two remain on the roster: Broekers / Ogletree.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

Andrew Luck $24.6 million average annual salary. Carson Palmer $24.35M. Drew Brees’ $24.25M Kirk Cousins’ $23.9M. Derek Carr at or near top.

It's funny but the fact that Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, etc... are not at the top of that list is exactly why their teams are good year after year. Guys like Brady realize that they need players around them to succeed. These other guys that cash in at the first sign of success (Flacco, etc..), usually end up on losing teams going forward.

Many crappy franchise coming from a long qb search end up overpaying above average qbs

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet

The #Raiders are signing G Gabe Jackson to a 5-year extension worth a whopping $56 million, source said. Locking up their future.

Over $11 million for a guard...

This is how good teams end up losing quality starters because they overpay nonpremium starters. They already had the highest paid guard in football (Osmele).

true, even if they think they are saving theire investment in Carr, but we will see how it turns out in 2-4 years. Maybe they have 1 lucky punch and everybody forgets this huge investment and overpaying. Time will tell, but most of the time it's not going to work out well.
