The Atlanta Falcons signed veteran edge rusher Leonard Floyd in their latest attempt to improve the pass rush in 2025. Floyd, a Georgia native, has returned to his hometown to bring some of his veteran pass-rushing presence to his hometown team.
Over nine NFL seasons, Floyd has recorded 66.5 sacks, 138 QB hits and five forced fumbles. The 32-year-old was selected by the Chicago Bears with the ninth overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
After spending four years in Chicago, Floyd played three seasons for the Los Angeles Rams, one season for the Buffalo Bills, and one season for the San Francisco 49ers in 2024. The veteran edge rusher met with the media for his introductory press conference on Tuesday.
"It feels great to be back in my home state," opened Floyd. Watch his full intro presser below, as shared by the team's YouTube channel.
