On Wednesday, the Atlanta Falcons wrapped up their pre-draft visits by hosting a few more prospects, including Georgia linebacker Mykel Williams. The projected first-round pick should firmly be on the Falcons' radar due to their glaring need for an edge rusher.
Williams posted a picture from outside of the team facility on his Instagram account. It's interesting that the team waited until the final day for pre-draft visits to bring in the former Bulldog. Atlanta has the 15th overall pick, which is roughly the range that many expect Williams to be drafted.
Last season, Williams finished with five sacks, 15 hurries and two forced fumbles. While he never posted elite sack numbers at Georgia, his run-stuffing ability and overall skill set should make him a sure-fire Day 1 pick.
"An upside prospect with loads of traits, Williams simply needs more snaps and more time to fill out his frame," NFL.com's Lance Zierlein in his scouting profile. "He is an explosive athlete who uses his exceptional length to keep tackles and tight ends at the end of his punch."
The Falcons were linked to a few other prospects on Wednesday, including William & Mary offensive lineman Charles Grant, LSU edge Bradyn Swinson and Georgia tight end Ben Yurosek.
