No split screen.

Its becoming rare with open world games as maps get bigger and bigger. I think given the size of the maps, the console cant handle processing 2 players going to opposite ends of the map at once. Thats why in GTA: San Andreas you had coop for the first time, but it forced both players to stay within a certain distance of each other.

Id be okay with that too (staying near each other). I bet borderlands 3 will pull it off. Borderlands 2 you can cross the entire map without your buddy but if you go through a door to another land, it teleports you both.

I know a lot of it is graphic limitations but it sucks. It seems developers forgot what it was like to sit on the couch with a friend and play video games. A lot of games that make perfect sense for split screen dont even bother making it.

I'm greedy. I don't want to share my TV real estate with anyone else. Unless it is a co-op game that forces you to stay on the same screen, I pretty much don't want to play it.

It is a pain, especially when trying to play multiplayer online and etc.

At the same time though, I tried playing ghost recon wildlands with my teenager, coop online, and it was just weird talking to her on a mic when she was in the adjacent living room. Id rather give up screen space and talk to her next to me.

When she moves out, I plan to keep her room available to her but also mve the video games in there with multiple TVs so me and my son can play full screen Co--op games.

Whoever designed this did it thinking how cool it would look.

But its not practical. All real gamers can immediately see that players playing on the top row of screens are at a major disadvantage. Its an unnatural angle to be looking up at a screen, and its also significantly further away.

Nice setup.

Far Cry 5 should be fun. I skipped Primal (or more accurate, waiting for it to be $5). Still haven't beaten 4 or Blood Dragon.

Right now though, Friday the 13th came out last night (or today on consoles). Pretty fun.

Here's a newer one (streamed by someone yesterday, launch version)

...and Star Trek Bridge Crew VR comes out on Tuesday!

thats not my setup, just one I found on the internet to describe something like what I will do once my oldest moves out of my house.

Friday the 13th looks pretty cool. Primal is awesome IMO.

for now I'm just stuck on borderlands 2 and rocket league.

Been playing a bit of classic games too.

Cool.

Yeah, still have Borderlands 2 as well.

I have this terrible habit of playing games until about 50-80 percent of the way through and just stopping and moving on.

Theres 45 missions in Metal Gear 5, and I stopped at mission number 44 and didnt play for like 6 months. Ive no idea why.

How have you not finished Far Cry 4? I couldnt put it down. In fact, the game is non-linear, so (as you know) you progress the game by taking down the boss fortresses. If you go straight to Pagan Mins palace, you can pretty much end the game right then.

I do that too. When I "beat" dead rising and then suddenly there were more missions, I just turned it off and called it completed. Same with red dead redemption, I thought I beat it but I hear there was more to it after what I did. Oops!!

its the worst when you come back to it and dont remember how to do anything too. I did that with ocarina of time and final fantasy x. When I went back it was daunting and I said screw it.

Yeah, you get good at stuff, and then you stop, when you come back and suck at it and it feels way more difficult.

Trying not to do that on Mass Effect: Andromeda right now. Haven't even started Wii U version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild yet.

Overwatch is a time suck too lol. They should just call those loot boxes, crack boxes. nnnNNeed the new DDDD..VA skin.

When did you think it was over?

I think I like found marstens family and had a cottage somewhere. The whole game revolved around finding his family and I did. I think it even rolled credits.

Now it has been like 5-6 years. I still have my same game but I dont really have a desire to figure out the whole game again to go play more missions./

wow....

This reminds me of million dollar baby. "She won the fight, movies over, right?"

You seriously need to fire that thing up, and avoid spoilers. One of the greatest all time endings to a game.

You just need another TV in the same room. Problem solved. :)

Edit: Thought I was at the end of the thread when I posted this--I see you have a plan for this in place already. Great minds!! :D
