What a great episode Monday. And no one is talking about this?

:thud:

Agreed. Surprised this thread is so quiet.

Fargo is approaching Breaking Bad levels of awesomeness.

still trying to figure out how I feel about the end of that episode, but did deliver another great line from Peggy

"it's just day flying saucer hun, we gotta go"

I do love this show.

Any show that can make Kirsten Dunst this great is freaking amazing.

no. the flying saucers of it all is a nice homage to The Man Who Wasn't There. I love the little and big ways this show consistently nods to almost every Coen brother's movie.

Enjoyed the finale. Some interesting ties to season 1:

- Hanzee becoming Tripoli, the mob boss. Did he kill enough KC reps to take over? Or did he fall in line and join them, rising up in the ranks? It's a stretch turning Hanzee into Tripoli. But this is a show with UFO's so there ya go. Thought it was pretty cool though.

- The deaf kid and his brother at the end of the episode. I'm assuming that they grow up to become the henchmen in season 1.

so freaking good. just such great television. As a massive Coen Brothers fan, I instantly hated the idea of making Fargo into a TV show, but Noah Hawley just absolutely knocked it out of the park in season 1 and somehow outdid himself in S2.

Peggy was one of my favorite characters on any TV show in a long time. Right up there with Walter on Fringe. It's a damn shame these are standalone seasons or miniseries, so we won't see her back.

I thought last season was good. This was just great.

The space ship thing was just bizarre. Then to fluff it off in the finale. Helluva way to break up a brawl. Not that alien lifeforms do not exist.

I just cannot fathom how she lost the Golden Globe and was not even nominated for a critic's choice award. Has Kiersten Dunst been making racist and/or homophobic comments around Hollywood or something? I mean sure a lot of it is the writing, but she does a fantastic job playing Peggy. Maybe she didn't actualize winning the Golden Globe strongly enough?

Ewan McGregor Set As the Lead In Season 3 Of FX Limited Series In Dual Role

http://deadline.com/2016/05/ewan-mcgregor-cast-lead-fargo-fx-1201760430/

Ewan McGregor is the latest feature actor to topline an installment of FX’s Emmy-winning anthology series Fargo. McGregor will play the two central characters — brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy — in the upcoming third season, which is supposed to be set closer to present day than the first two installments.

Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, he sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, on the other hand, is more of a cautionary tale. Balding and pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, he has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames Emmit for his misfortunes.

McGregor is the first actor cast in the third installment of Fargo, which tentatively is scheduled to begin production later this year for premiere on FX in 2017.

OK. Its back and well into the season.

Episode 1 opening scene has a Nazi SS guy interrogating a peasant and accusing him of being someone he isn't. Explain please how those characters fit.

That's a good question. I'm entertained but a LOT of seeming nonsequitors this season

it's not nearly as strong as Seasons 1 and 2. Noah Hawley's presence is sorely missing this season as he went off to do Legion.
