Here's one Giants Fan reaction...
My memories of this coach will be the countless debacles which occurred on his watch, including:
The meltdown in the 1997 NFC Wild Card Game vs. Minnesota (9 point lead at 2:00 minute warning blown amidst Giants players engaging in fist fights amongst themselves on the bench and field).
Jason Sehorn at the height of his career being allowed to return a meaningless kickoff in a 1998 exhibition game vs. the Jets which mangled his knee and ruined his career.
The humiliating 34-7 thrashing we received in Super Bowl XXXV vs. Baltimore
And last but certainly not least, "the mother of all meltdowns" in the 2002 NFC Wild Card Game vs. San Francisco (24 point lead blown in 2nd half, players commiting mulitiple personal foul infractions during on field melee in the final moments and of course the botched field goal attempt on 3rd down at the very end of the game.
It should have all ended right then and there, but he was brought back for another season and more debacles occurred (Dallas & Philly home games). In his wake of failure we are left with a shell of a team.
Not to mention his inablity to win a game in primetime or following a bye week.
Good riddance "Mr. Focus"!
