The guy a lot of people wanted here may very well end up with no HC job at all. JIm Mora, Jr. has it pretty much wrapped up in ATL, Buffalo wasn't impressed, Chicago wants Saban, and I can't see Fassell going to Oakland.

I thought Washington or Buffalo was where he'd end up.

I would love to know what he said in Buffalo to make them so not want him.

The way they were spinning it on the radio, is was like he walked in drank the interviewers coffee, made a pass at his wife and/or daughter, and sideswiped his car when leaving!

I wonder if Fassel thought he was so hyped that he projected this "I can take any job I want" attitude that everyone thought he was headed somewhere else.

I find the Jurecki story very interesting -- I am curious if Fassel came to town thinking that he would go to either Washington or Buffalo --

but by the time he came out of the Buffalo interview, Washington had hired Gibbs, and he knew he was down to the Cardinals --

but he was too late there as well.

Jurecki said fassel did not have good interview with the Bills...

he also said today that Romeo did not have a good interview with the cardinals....but he was on his 3rd interview on the same day....and his team was preparing for the playoffs....but the fact that his team was still in the hunt and the fact that he was kind of forced to have 3 teams come in on the same weekend and interview him (hard to tell them no...and it was like he only had a day or two window) probably means he does not get a hc job this offseason....maybe next year for Crennell.
