Thread resurrection time!

Love Actually is one I really enjoyed.
Bad Santa is a vulgar classic.
As for fun for the whole family I always loved Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story.

Side note I remember seeing Elf in the theatre and thinking it was really stupid but I caught it on HBO the other day and laughed the whole movie. :)

Scrooged is #1 by far, then Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. Also the old versions of Miracle on 34th St and A Christmas Carol.

OMG. There are some good ones. Tons of classics to choose from. My family generally watches every Christmas movie we can get our hands on leading up to Christmas. These are off the top of my head in no particular order.

Christmas Vacation
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Live action and Cartoon)
Home Alone
Home Alone 2
The Santa Clause
A Christmas Story
Miracle on 34th Street
Bad Santa
Scrooged
Nightmare Before Christmas
Elf
It's a Wonderful Life
Frosty the Snow Man
Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

P.S. Can I count movies that take place during Christmas? Maybe not exactly about Christmas movies but it was a part of them.

Lethal Weapon
Die Hard
Die Hard 2
Trading Spaces
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Batman Returns
Life of Brian
Gremlins

OK, I know that's a stretch. ;)

No love for The Ref? Surprised.

It was mentioned in the thread's first post. :D

So, what is your favorite Christmas movie(s)?

For me: It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and the Ref (absolutely hilarious)!!!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is also up there.

Really good flick, IMHO.

Last year it was my wife's turn to pick our Christmas day movie so we watched her favorite, Home Alone. This year I chose one of my favorite Christmas movies, Sneakers starring Fort Red Border.

This year we watched our favorites in order:

A Nightmare Before Christmas.
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Elf
Christmas with the Cranks
Jingle all the Way
The Santa Clause

I don't own It's a Wonderful Life or Scrooged and I tried to find them on TV every night in December and failed. Disappointing. I'll have to go buy them for next year.
