I'm bored and needed something to do. So here it is. Your chance to vote on your favorite player of all time. I'm sure Jordan will get alot of votes, but not everyone can be a Jordan fan, right?

My favorite player is a long forgotten guy I remember from the my childhood - Jerry Lucas. He played in relative obscurity for much of his career (60's and early 70's) until his last few years with the Knicks. He was a backup on their championship team 1972-73 (behind Reed and Debusschere) and would start at center against Chamberlin when Reed got injured.

Jerry was not biggest guy around even for his era (6'8"), but he was one of the top rebounders of all time. He had a career rebounding average of 15.6 and had two seasons where he averaged over 20 rebounds a game and two others where he was over 19 per game. His rebounding DROPPED to 14.2 and 15.8 the two years he was with Nate Thurmond with the Warriors. Also he averaged 17 ppg (including three years over 20 ppg) while shooting 49.9% from the field. He hit 78.3 % of his free throws and averaged 3.3 assists per game.

Growing-up in Detroit, my favorite player was Joe Dumars (who is vastly underrated).... And now he's probably the best Executive in the N.B.A....

I voted for Dr. J. I know he's not the greatest player ever, but I never anticipated seeing anyone play more than him. He was always good for a spectacular play, or several, every time he stepped out onto the floor.

My favorite Suns are Walter Davis, Kevin Johnson and Charles Barkley. I really don't know which one of the three I'd say was my favorite.

I chose charles...also this is the biggest poll i've ever seen

:D Told you I was bored. :D I coulda did the max 40 options, but didnt wanna get greedy. I coulda put Mike Bibby etc. I figured other would get alot of votes, as my favorite college b-ball player was Eugene Edgerson. He never got drafted, wasnt that skilled but I loved his blue collar work ethic. Plus the man had a fro before it became popular again, and wore knee high socks and chuck taylors. Eugene started the throwback craze..ALL HAIL EUGENE EDGERSON! :D

I'm going to have to say Jordan. In his peak nobody can stop him and he was a good ambassador to the game of Basketball.
