I'll post my top-20 favorite bands of all-time and in no particular order:

1) the Beatles
2) Blur
3) Buddy Holly
4) the Kinks
5) the Who
6) Gomez
7) Alice In Chains
8) Jimi Hendrix
9) Led Zeppelin
10) Pink Floyd
11) Steve Winwood (includes: Spencer Davis, Traffic, and Blind Faith)
12) Cream
13) Queen
14) Yes
15) Living Colour
16) U2
17) Van Halen
18) Faith No More
19) the Yardbirds
20) Talking Heads

That's at the moment however... always changes based on moods.. but those are the bands I find myself listening on a consistant basis over the years....

Really? Neil Diamond?

Hells yeah, I have *cough* purchased all his albums. We rock on.... plus I saw him in concert, best concert I've ever seen. He is America's entertainer. He belts out 3 hours and doesn't even take a break.

Some of his songs are just so classic America. Just never see the Jazz Singer :|

I don't mind some Neil. Sweet Caroline is one of the coolest party songs at the Jersey shore. Classic!

Nice list, although I totally hate Pink Floyd and Steve Winwood.

Btw, Hanson is releasing a new album in Feb/March of 2007. Be on the lookout for an onslaught of Hanson icons and possibly Hanson thread bumps.

WHEeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I know we're all obviously entitled to our own taste/opinion... and I seldom ask people to justify or elaborate on their answers, but I am wondering why you hate Steve Winwood? The reason I ask is that it's rare I come across anyone who does......

As I mentioned in my previous post...everything is contingent on how one feels at the moment while compiling a list of their favorites.. but... I noticed that I didnt include Def Leppard, Soundgarden, and the Doors on my original list, but then again.... I might post a thread ranking top 10 favorite bands of every decade....and have others rank their own....it makes it a lot easier......
