What the French, Toast! There's no lint licker trade rumor or actual trade of Amar'e yet? Does Kerr know the deadline is coming up? I suppose he has it marked in his calendar on Microsoft Outlook. I can't believe I logged in here and there's no new trade rumor, or new trade scenario by our members where we get Kevin Garnette, Dwayne Wade, and Kobe Bryant, for Amar'e, Griffin, and Robin Lopez and it works under the cap, no really, it does! I want my rampant speculation people! Get to work and give me Amar'e speculation and rumors from a guy named Gus32, who on another board rumored a trade that actually happened, and knows the brother of a cousin, who has a girlfriend that knows a friend that knows a GM in the NBA that we all know of who says Amare will be traded straight up for the Laker starting five! Get to work people! :)

sorry Yuma, but you'll have to wait until the next loss until the new batch of trade rumors pop up.

Yeah there are some rumors floating on the realgm board with a supposed Philly insider. He has the Suns, 76ers and Cavs discussing a 3-way deal. Pieces keep changing, but the core of the deal would be Amare to CLE, Iggy to PHX and expirings to PHI. Obviously theres a lot more to it than that, but thats the idea.

Talks with the Heat and Nets appear to be quiet. Wizards may be a darkhorse, with a deal like Butler/Haywood/2010 #1 pick for Amare. They appear to motivated to make a deal and are talking heavily to the Rockets about a Tmac swap, but will certainly look at an Amare deal to help rejouvenate the team/fanbase.

In all liklihood, unless Kerr is blown away by a deal, nothing will happen until the trade deadline.

This is exactly why a deal is probably going to happen. Ask yourself this, how many of these outrageous deals have hit our faces with every media outlet reporting them....only for nothing to happen? Remember how EVERYBODY was surprised by the JRICH trade and no media outlets were reporting even a rumored deal?

Hearing nothing tells me something is going on IMO.

I haven't heard anything about Nash being traded for Lebron. Is that a good sign?

Since your not an ESPN media member pulling a Nash rumor from where the Sun don't shine....it's still possible. :D

read about an A'm'are to Phily for Iggy this morning.

As much as I like Iggy that seems unrealistic. The 6ers would have a very expensive front line of Amare, Brand and Dalemebert and the Suns would be left very thin in the middle.

One positive is the unlikely possibility of the Suns taking back a contract like Brand. No way do I see Sarver approving a trade that brings us a horrendous contract.

I really doubt that WAS would do that deal even without the pick.

Also, NO WAY the Suns get an unprotected pick of any value. Steve Kerr is the only guy handing those out and he can't trade with himself.

I have not followed this guy, his stats are not that impressive. Why is everybody so high on him?

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/marreese_speights/career_stats.html

because he's only in his second year. look at his game logs. he definately has the ability to be a major factor in the NBA.

the kid played VERY well at the start of the season....but as of late his numbers have not been that well. if you look into the stats for the team though, it seems like Philly has been giving the bulk of the minutes to Dalambert and Brand, probably in the hopes of showcasing them enough to entice teams to look at the as a little more than garbage trading pieces.

Why can't we consider Amare for a package centered around Horford? Is there any real possibility behind something like that?

Philly at this point will only unload Iggy if it means getting rid of Brand or Dalembert. They are in serious cost cutting mode. Supposedly Speights is untouchable because of his salary and potential production.

No. Amare is too expensive compared to Horford. They have a good chemestry going. No way.

Cause he has so much potential. He is the future Amare if he can go to the right team. He ain't gonna succeed in Philly.

"Fluid bigman with excellent length and shooting touch Shows a lot of offensive promise with great touch on his shot within 8 feet of the basket Very effective at the pick and roll Has good hands and a terrific frame He should be able to put on additional weight allowing him to play more physical Huge wingspan gives him the length to play both the 4 and 5 positions at the next level as his body matures Neither incredibly fast or explosive, but he is an above average athlete with excellent physical gifts Still prone to making a careless pass here and there, but has above average vision and can develop into a quality passer Has the length and athleticism to become a solid shot blocker His rebounding should improve as he continues to get stronger"

Atlanta refused to take on Stoudemire back when the Suns had worked out a three-way deal for Garnett. No way do they want him now, especially not for the price of their own All-Star center.
