Apparently, Australia would have to face USA if they won so they only played their backups & threw the game so they'd have an easier path in the elimination rounds.

You're probably right but I must be part European, I'm ho-hum about both of them. I used to really care about the Olympics but it's been a few decades since they really mattered to me.

Well, take Team USA, as an American, what is the most important tournament that Team USA plays in? I'd say a majority of Americans would say the Olympics, whether they follow the team or not.
