There it is.

Is there any doubt that he is one of the most overrated coach in the annals of the NFL? And the front office is equally to blame. Not for hiring him, but for not cutting him loose at the bye.

I am on board with firing Dennis Green but not until the end of the season. I mean who was out there available to take over besides Fassel during the bye week? I just don't think firing Green at the bye would have made much of a difference. The only thing it would have accomplished would have been for a new coach to get a head start on who he wanted as a player going forward.

I was feeling like you also DieHard, but after the game this week, I am not so sure. It's obvious DG has completely lost this team and his coaching staff. Playing out the rest of the season with him at the helm can do a lot more harm than good. I hope Mike B. holds a press conference tomorrow and sends DG packing. It doesn't make any difference who he puts in charge. They can't do any worse than DG.

I felt that way for weeks, then changed my mind, but today has me feeling that way again.

Green is breaking the spirit of these players, they're quitting because they don't have any faith in him, and they want him gone. I know that's not what they SAY, but reality is it's what they do, game after game, that convinces me they are sick of him.

They should fire him at all costs. Its worth it just to say to the fans that this garbage will not be tolerated. That the team has too much pride as an organization to let this stand. To me there is no downside to it. They can pay him either to stand there looking like an idiot as the team flounders away or pay him to sit at home. At least the team could pretend it has some level of pride by firing him. They should do it tomorrow.

Fire him and interim Rowen.

It's justice and he can't do worse.

Would a new head coach explain to Pendergast that we couldn't pressure the quarterback only rushing the 4 down lineman and playing the safteties 35 yards deep probably wasn't the best move. Maybe someone with some football smarts could explain what that defensive scheme was all about to me because I am a bit confused.

I was for keeping Green until year end, now Im starting to think otherwise, but not if it is just replacing him with another staff member, which wont accomplish anything. There are 7 games left where some rebuilding can be done (as opposed to just playing out the games as is being done now). I say give him one more game, perhaps the only winnable game left at home against Detroit. If they lose, then consider dumping him. The question is who would there be to make it worth it? Many of the potential candidates are already currently on NFL teams for the rest of the season.

The best thing we could do is bring in Fassell, or anyone else, to be a football consultant. Someone to look over his shoulder. That would burn Green to no end. With any luck, by season's end, he'd quit.

No way Green wil quit. He's not going to leave that money on the table. He is coaching like he wants to be fired. I'm all for making him stick it out. Don't give him th easy way out. Next time he holds up his pie charts they will look alot worse. I seriously doubt if the team would play any different under an interim HC.They know the whole staff is gone and will continue to play that way.

Keep him to the end of the season but bring in a consultant like Fassel to review the entire team. Denny may be unhappy with that but who cares what he feels. Look what he did to Rowen.

What is the plan if he is fired now. Because if he is fired, Bush will go with him. Who takes over and how are the holes filled this late in the season. They would need to hire 2 to 3 coaches as soon as he is fired.

Precisely! There has got to be a couple unemployed coaches somewhere that have the same qualifications as DG's "good ol' boy" network. By keeping DG and his gang of cronies around, we are doing more long term damage to this team. Fire him!!! And let his good ol' boys follow.

Even if we can't find replacements, we can't do any worse than losing horrifically.
