I think it is pretty clear that Kyler can't operate a standard NFL offense. There are just parts of the field he can't access as a traditional dropback passer, and taking his prodigious running ability out of the picture minimizes his impact.

Last year Kyler and Dobbs both averaged 5.5 rushing attempts per game. This year Kyler is averaging 4.7 APG.
His lack of rushing has really capped his ceiling.

This is the same thing that was said about him under center.

These coordinators run whatever offense they want. It is obvious this offense isn't built based off the talent we have. WR not emphasized even though we drafted one 4th overall and even Wilson not being used effectively.

We're better out of shotgun. We pass less than five times per game from under center. We run better out of shotgun. Congrats, we suck more.

Do you think Petzing wants to get fired? Why would he design an offense that doesn't meet the talent on hand. He's not like Whis coming from Pittsburgh with a long history of effectiveness. He was brought in preaching flexibility.

We went from the 24th-ranked scoring/19th-ranked yardage offense in 2023 to 15th/11th in 2024. Meanwhile, we lost our opening day RG for 11 weeks, our prize FA RT for 10 weeks, and our top 10 LT for the last two games of the season.

You lost me at Petz Harry.. this offense doesn’t change a him at the helm.
Why do you presume that? The personnel will likely be radically different. Petzing’s entire coaching background is the passing game. Isn’t it more likely he looked at this set of personnel and conclude the best shot to win was to go with the passing game. My issue, and I’ve had them, with Petzing has been play selection. It takes time to learn play calling. I’m willing to give him another year to see what he can do with a passing game added into the mix.

I think it’s comical how thick you are to come out of the post reading that.. it’s very apparent my point is I would rather see a traditional scheme rather than this BS. It also is very apparent that I posted I think a scheme tailored around Kyler’s athletic prowess and QB strengths would be best.

Both statements are different and are not contradicting each other.. they are separate points. Can you handle that? Or you just want to pick an argument to continue w your consistent negativity crew?
You still fail to understand that a scheme tailored to kylers athletic prowess would not be a traditional scheme that you claim to want. I can’t describe your hypocrisy any more clearly.

Try to reframe your argument in a manner that makes sense. I’m willing to admit I’m wrong if you can make a cogent argument that you’re not talking out of both sides of your mouth. Maybe walk through the following exercise . . . humor me.

Do you want to see kyler in a traditional offense?

Do want to see kyler in an offense tailored for him with a bunch of rollouts and 9-11 designed QB runs?

Are you willing to admit those two things are cannot be one and the same?

How can you reconcile wanting both?

So you want more of a traditional passing offense without built-in RPOs, sneaks, rollouts, and other bells and whistles designed for running QBs. Good to know.

And a sidebar: I wish short-arse would move up to the booth to make his calls.

I don’t particularly care for Petzings offense to this point but I can’t deny the improvement statistically. Silly to think the team would move on.

This is such a conundrum. Is it Petzing or is it Kyler? I lean toward Kyler being the problem. The biggest problem I see is the intermediate middle of the field. I would love to see the breakdown of passes inside and outside the numbers.

If you are a boxing coach you simply can’t ask your power puncher to dance and vice versa. Is Petzing handcuffed to avoiding Murray’s weaknesses?

We’ve gone around on this. I don’t find this offense aesthetically pleasing outside a handful of Conner runs every few games. It has a real “let’s get this over with” vibe.

The playaction should open up fun deep passes but

The intermediate middle of the field has been a problem. I think stats would show this.

You apparently can’t read and decipher 2 separate points either. The IQ is high in your crew. You all must be medicated and for good reason.

I like Petzing overall but Klint Kubiak did miracles with the Saints before they lost almost all starters on offense to injury. Whoever gets Kubiak on staff is getting a steal.

Yes, I do have a high IQ. I can modestly say I am a genius. Thank you for noticing.

I'm not going to read through pages of your arguments to try to suss out your preference. I was simply trying to get at what you mean.

What game? I’m trying to boil this down to the simplest elements to understand your position.
