I'm better than Mulli!
The timing makes literally no difference. The one I referenced was much closer in terms of fact pattern. That does make a difference.Humm... you go back in the game if you like; I'll go back one play.

You keep showing a play where kyler failed to throw a good ball. Now THAT’s funny.Check down

Check down king. One or two deep passes doesn’t change that. And you said that K1 is check down king which is it?
Really? Should have been caught in my opinion. You keep showing a play where kyler failed to throw a good ball. Now THAT’s funny.
I think there is no way Petzing gets axed. Unless his personality is just rubbing Gannon the wrong way. Which there is nothing at all to indicate that. In fact, the reason Petzing came out of nowhere to get this OC job is Gannon knew him and liked him already.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Here is what the team will look at:
2023 offense: 19th overall yards. 4th in rushing and 26 passing. 23rd in scoring 19.4 a game.
2024 offense: 11th overall yards. 4th in rushing 18th in passing. 15th in scoring 22.1 points a game.
He isn't getting fired IMO. Eat that contract when he can show improvement basically across the board? Doesn't sound like something Bidwill does to me.
Yeah, maybe if Monti had full control of football decisions including contracts. I do not believe he does. Bidwill will be sitting in the room as well.Keeping Peturd puts JG in danger if he comes out and starts slow next season especially if we lose next week and don’t score.
There will be questions in the exit if we have another half where we don’t score which has been a them since the bye.
MO: JG what is going to change next season to improve our passing attack which limited us this season?
That single question will start the snowball

I expect more of a convo on positional coaching vs an OC change.“We found our Alpha Bird” - MO drafting MHJ
Well that bird looks pretty meh compared to the other pass catchers drafted. Will MO put the blame on K1 who had a 1k yard TE that MO didn’t draft or the scheme?
I’m betting on the scheme but we will see.
Hopefully next game we get a win and end this season on a high note and none of this will take place.
And what if Kyler comes out and crsps the bed again with 3 picks and an overall terrible game. Does he get the ax?Keeping Peturd puts JG in danger if he comes out and starts slow next season especially if we lose next week and don’t score.

I agree. It should have.Really? Should have been caught in my opinion.
Firing Peturd is a majority of fans

Oh man. If you lose KylerSzn and Andy Kwong you’ve lost the fan base. Very hard day for Drew Petzing and his family.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
And what if Kyler comes out and crsps the bed again with 3 picks and an overall terrible game. Does he get the ax?
It’s the NFL. The ball went through his hands. Defender never touched it or came close to touching the ball. End of story.I agree. It should have.
Did kyler maximize his ability to make an easy catch or make him slow his route for an unnecessary contested catch?
Both can be (and are) true.
Honestly, who is out there to replace Kyler anyway? Like it or not we have to continue to build this team on the foundation that’s in place. He should absolutely be on the chopping block if he craps the bed again like that.
I’m all for finding replacements that can help us win, K1 is no exception.
“Never came close?” Okay. Tough to discuss anything with someone unable to talk reasonably about a play. Have a good night. It’s the NFL. The ball went through his hands. Defender never touched it or came close to touching the ball. End of story.

Actually it is tough to discuss with someone trying to make a point with the wrong play. That ball was over the defenders and into Wilson’s hands and he missed it. Stepped out of bounds so it didn’t matter at that point but find another throw to bash Kyler which you absolutely did while making a point with another poster.“Never came close?” Okay. Tough to discuss anything with someone unable to talk reasonably about a play. Have a good night.

Marvin would have easily had 1000 yards with his opportunities if he wasn't a very, painfully, average player.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I agree with you in general, but I'd like to remind you in the specific that our roster was below average but fine in 2023. Monti fashioned the 2023 Cardinals into one of the worst rosters in the NFL.I would be shocked if Petzing doesn't return as OC. While Cards fans are disappointed in the poor play after the bye, I think the Cards coaches and front office will look at 2024 as year 2 of the rebuild, which started in 2023 with one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Where fans see the late season collapse and not making the playoffs as failure, I think Gannon and Ossenfort will take the long view and see the progress that the team made in 2024.
My guess is they will run it back in 2025 with the coaching staff in tact, and hope for significant improvement in the offense with better O-line play, a speed WR, and an improved Kyler/MHJ connection.
