Steve Kerr has to be the most inept GM in Suns History. He took a near championship contender, and turned it into a team that can't even make the playoffs. Ever since he was named GM, the Suns have slowly regressed, and its not looking any better. Every single move he's made has been detrimental to this team...Firing D'Antoni and hiring Porter proved to be the dumbest move ever, and while he preaches 'defense', he trades away our best defender in Raja Bell, and brings in two players that couldnt play D if their lives depended on it. This only shows he has no idea what he's doing, and his indecisive moves have only hurt the suns. If Steve Kerr continues to be the GM, the Suns will ultimately dwindle into another failed franchise...

Ppl knock Kerr but almost every move he's made has been met with fan acceptance...Bringing in Shaq, Richardson, dumping D'Antoni etc etc. Its only after things went out sour did fans come out more bashing Kerrs moves.

trading kurt thomas & two first rounders for cash wasn't bashed initially? and i know a lot of suns fans who bashed his richardson deal too. the shaq trade should've been followed up with another trade, i think shaq has done well for the suns but they still lack a lockdown defender which is what we lost with marion. look at it this way: kerr hires porter and tells the team that the direction of the team is going for more defense, and then trades away the team's best defenders (marion, bell, diaw, banks, strawberry) and replaces them with: Shaq (slow), richardson (********), barnes (dumber than richardson)

The vast majority of fans supported aquiring Richardson....dont even go there. As a matter of fact I dont remember any naysayers on that deal at all.

fine, i'll concede on that one trade. what about the kurt thomas trade? hiring a coach and telling him to run a spurs offense with a team built to run? waiting until the all star break to get rid of him, if he had fired him earlier in the season the suns would've likely made the playoffs

Is there any discussion on this board that meets with your approval binkar? Doesn't seem like it...

haha pokerface you are still bitter about a disagreement we had a month ago? So i disagree with a discussion a month ago and one now and yet "no discussion on this board meets my approval? Take a deep breath and let it go man. No need to search for things to argue with me about. I am pretty sure 99% percent of your posts are trying to entice people to argue with you.

You whine about me disagreeing with a comment and then you tell a remark to a poster to "not even go there"?:lmao:

Pokerface is it that time of the month again?

I have noticed that you only come around about once a month, post a bunch and disagree with everything and then dissappear for a few weeks. Thanks for being such a great poster!

FYI Binkar's points have a lot more substance then any of yours

This poll here (http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2008/12/10/688924/kerr-pushes-the-panic-trad) says that the majority was either unsure or didn't like the trade when it happened, while 48% did support it.

I'm not aware of any other polls but I refuse to believe that the majority of fans were idiotic enough to think that trade was a good idea at the time. It never made the least bit of sense. Anyone who put any thought whatsover into the trade should have been able to see how terrible it would make our defense. The fact that we have a GM who isn't capable of thinking ahead is scary.

The Spurs fans saw it. Half of them were laughing on Spurstalk. The other half just pitied us.

Most people were also not in favor of Shaq coming here.

Before Kerr took over, the team was heading to the championship if it wasn't for some suspensions.

Not like guys were getting older or whiney about their roles.

That 06-07 team was their best shot at a ring. It didn't happen, and it would have been downhill from there anyway.

Tell me why you believe that.

Because the Suns had all the momentum and the home court advantage going back to Phoenix with the series tied 2-2. Having that game 5 at home being basically erased is no different that if you were to take away game 5 in the series against the Clippers. What was a series win for us would have turned into an automatic loss.

After the suspensions were announced, every Suns fan went from expecting to win and being optimistic about the series to expecting to lose.

And everyone knew that which ever team won that series was going all the way that year.

Suns always have momentum before they lose...especially against the Spurs. Don't you know that?

Game 5 wasn't erased....despite being "Amareless" we had the SPURS beat in that 4th qtr. Once again we couldn't get stops when it counted and we choked offensively because our jumpshots went cold. I've heard the fatigue factor brought up when discussing this game too. Tired shmired...thats an EXCUSE for losers.
Also, with a fully restored roster for game 6 the SUNS played like they were down 3-1 instead of 3-2. Why?
That was D'Antoni's best SUNS team IMO but we never had the smarts, mental toughness or the physicality to win a title with those teams.

Yes, we should have won that game but what else can you expect but a letdown with a 6 man rotation, and Nash, Marion, and Bell all having to play over 46 minutes?

Spurs find a way to win even if Duncan has to sink a three to do it.

Spurs have the rings...Suns have excuses.

The Spurs went 3-2 against the Suns in that series when both teams had full rosters.
