My brain can barely comprehend what we're seeing. The scale of what we're seeing so far into the past is just incredible.

We are so miniscule in the universe. It defies the mind to grasp it.
It's really amazing.
I need to build some new acoustic panels for my home theater. I had been planning to do them as movie posters but I'm toying now with taking one of these huge images from Webb and printing it for the front wall. Do a multi-part one where the panels lined up makes the full image.
Great idea! You need to tell me how to do those. I could use them in my band room and my theater. Do you use the hard Owens Corning type material for the insides?

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

^^These JW Telescope images always remind me of the great Carl Sagan and his galactic perspective.
Owens Corning 703 is the gold standard. It can be hard to find though. Rockwool has a similar product and they also have their Safe n' Sound which is sort of a cross between fiberglass insulation and 703. The later is what I've been using since it was easy to source and it works well. Before I just tore everything up to install the projector I had a nice flat response in the room.

I was thinking of doing a Rick & Morty theme. Some of these pictures could do great. Especially since I was considering doing a star ceiling at one point.

He hasn't been processing them as much lately due to time. I told him that a few of you liked them though so I think that might have gotten the creative juices flowing. He made a comment that he should make a website for them and then sent this one at about 10 last night. It's a really cool one.
