Not sure how Wilks gets a free pass when he's the one who put McCoy on the coaching staff... knowing full well what he was. The guy got canned mid-way through last season. He was a known quality.

If memory serves me right I don't think either Wilks or McCoy was first choice sometimes your backed into a corner and have to ride with it until you can get someone you really want.

To an extent yes. You cannot take a team with 6 win talent and coach it to 3 wins.
That is ineptitude from a staff that appears to have no idea what they are doing top to bottom. No one expected a super bowl run.

If memory serves me right I don't think either Wilks or McCoy was first choice sometimes your backed into a corner and have to ride with it until you can get someone you really want.

you don't have to ride with the worst possible choice. Again, McCoy had failed time and time again and just last year was fired after 6 seasons. If he's your only choice, then something is massively wrong with the franchise.
