It seems to me the most prudent thing for the Cardinals to do is to rest Fitzgerald this weekend. Even with Fitz, the chances of the Cards winning in New Orleans is small. I say rest him and have him at or near 100% for a very winnable game against Tampa Bay the following weekend. Cards then come back to Arizona 2-2, which is very reasonable, considering 3 of those games were on the road. I hope the coaches consider this. Thoughts?

i'm totally with you.
you have a chance to be full strength going into a weak Tampa club get yourself to 2-2 going into a winnable home against Carolina? I'd do it...especially with hamstring issues that could linger all year if they're not properly given time to heal from.
Yeah I agree he should rest it if it is still bothering him. We need a healthy Fitz not a 50% Fitz.

Agree with you. Rest him if need be. For selfish reasons I would like him to play since I will be at this game. Have family (Saints fans) going to their first football game who want to see him play. Told them if he is hurt then he cannot play.
The video had more to do with the thought that the Saints was a given loss and we should be looking ahead to Tampa.

I hate to see him sidelined but, if he is not 95% I;m all for missing one game if it helps the team win. WE don't want to put Larry into a more severe injury situation.

Larry hasn't missed a game since 2007. His competitive pride might prevent him from admitting how hurt he is and getting out there. This is the guy who was coughing up blood on the sidelines in the Seattle game in 2011 yet put himself back just for a shot at 8-8 in the last game of the season.

Well any sane person is clearly going to say that the Saints are a much better team. However on the road in severe weather slowing down the field a division opponent etc is a great equalizer.
IDE rather play Tampa 100 times out of 100 over NO!

Agree with most: if sitting this week is a positive for the rest of the season, this is a good week to do it.
Larry's presence will of course be missed, but I would also love to see Floyd use the chance to present himself as a definite #2, potential #1A down the road.

That's what I was thinking. We beat them with Max Hall at QB and that was following the superbowl season. And if you say that was at home, well we beat New England on the road last season. Anything can happen.
