what a stupid comment, like the Cards are not throwing him the ball so they can justify asking him to take a salary cut? His salary is too high, everyone knows it including him, he'll either rework it or he'll have to leave, everyone knows it, they knew it when they gave him the contract.

Larry is probably embarrassed by this. I am going to ignore it.

it was rather frustrating to see larry running open in one on one coverage all night and palmer not even looking in his direction.

I want to purchase NFL rewind just for the coaches film to see what kind of separation he is or isn't getting and to see how often he's getting bracketed. I just don't believe he's old enough to have lost so much speed so quickly (especially the way he stays in shape), but I guess I won't know that for sure without the tape.

Fitz's brother was also saying crap like this on Twitter.

As I've said, Fitz is not cut from the same cloth as his dad and brother.

Yes wide open. We were going nuts at how open he was on a few occasions and Palmer didn't even look in his vacinity. It was like he was a rookie #4 out there. Not cool.

Really?

We won. So it worked.

Big Fitzgerald fan but I could care less if he had 1 catch, as long as the Cardinals win.

Saw a number of times when Fitz was open over the middle and CP didn't or couldn't pull the trigger.

Ill take a win all day but when he was getting single coverage and getting open he could have sparked the opffense when it was dead. If you dont even look at him, hes not even a decoy. A throw or two to him when open for big gains would then free up all the other guys palmer was locking on to.

The contract issue is a balloon year added to make the contract sound better when signed. Neither side expects the team to honor it. They had the same issue with his previous deal.

Fitzgerald is the best player on the team. If has single coverage he is open. They almost won a Super Bowl by throwing the ball and letting Fitz go get it. Now he is not even part of the offense.

I didn't get that many wide shots on the TV, but every time they did show Fitz.. He had zero separation.
If Palmer knew how to throw a fade inbounds we would be golden.

Agree that Fitz was nowhere near a primary target this game. I don't know if it was because if Flowers was his primary cover man, but Palmer has to at least try and target him early and get him started somehow.

That said we are loaded with targets. It's a nice option not to HAVE to use a player of Fitz' caliber. He'll still have his games, the DC's will also have to game plan for Floyd moving ahead.

There was play after play where Palmer never even glanced at Fitz. Even if it is just to get a safety to move, Palmer needs to get the defense to at least think about Fitz whenever he is in there. I would guess he gets more action next week, but who knows? Arians has not used him like his previous two coaches, that's for sure.
