Florida baseball will take a five-game win streak into its sixth SEC series of the season when it plays this weekend at Mississippi State.
The Florida Gators (25-14, 4-11 SEC) swept Missouri in their last conference series at home but will head back to the road, where they are 4-6 this season.
Mississippi State (23-14, 5-10 SEC) has won six of its last seven and is coming off a 16-2 win over Southern on Tuesday.
Florida is coming off a 14-4 win over Stetson in which third baseman Bobby Boser belted three home runs, becoming the first Gator to hit three homers in a game since Jac Caglianone against Cincinnati on Feb. 26, 2023.
Shortstop Colby Shelton is batting a team-high .370 for Florida with six home runs, 30 RBIs and an SEC-high 18 doubles. Boser, meanwhile, is batting .327 with team highs in home runs (14) and RBIs (42).
On the mound, Florida freshman righty starter Aidan King is coming off earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors after pitching 5 2/3 shutout innings against Missouri, allowing just four hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Florida's game on Friday will air on SEC Network, Saturday on ESPN and Sunday on ESPN2.
