Watch the local sports shows tonight. This will be a huge story and they are already working on it.

Fox 10 Sports Night
9:30pm
Fox 10

12 Sports Tonight
10:30pm
Channel 12 (A Cards rep is scheduled to be there)

ABC 15's The Game
10:30pm
ABC 15

All of the news stations will most likely have this story in their first block of stories even though it is a sports story.

I will try to monitor the situation on TV and via phone. If anyone else watches these shows, feel free to post what is reported.

First concert I ever went to - 1987 I think - U2 when they played two surprise shows at SDS. I don't remember the lead time they had for ticket sales, but they were going for $5 each. I think they needed to sell out the joint in a matter of days to get the right feel for the film.

I wonder if they will be able to charge real NFL prices for tickets on less than a day's notice??? I guess it would depend on how large of a crowd they would shoot for...

I think a Donation should be required...if not the University students...notorious louts...will come to the game and pay little. I think there is an opportunity to help in a relief effort here and with a required cash donation the AZ community can make a differance for some who have lost there homes. So those who would go to free load...stay home and cheer and let those whom will donate...watch the specticule. How they can't sieze this opportunity to donate is beyond me...I would think most will donate anyway...but why give a choice....

I am so sick of hearing this crap, my friends and I are all going, and all plan to donate. While there are some students that are cheap, there are many people throughout society that are cheap. At least it is more understandable with students.

Has anyone gotten any word as to how they will pass out tickets and take donations?

I have a friend who left here on Sat to go to the game in SD (A Fish Fan). He is on the way back with his son and wondering what to do.

Question: Does one go to the ticket counter at SDS and make a donation there and get a ticket? I heard you just show up at the turnstile and they will give you a ticket. Seems like that may be a bit unmanageable to accept donations at a turnstile.

Anyways. I am going to go and make a sizeable donation. It is the least I can do. It is horrible to see what has happened there and I think it is very, very classy for the NFL, the Cards and ASU to step up and make an impact on those who are facing such a tragedy.

Any news or help appreciated.

Thanks

Rats, a lot of those kids don't have the money available for things like this. If they are going to fill that stadium, they will need some of those guys and gals from ASU.

Maybe some of you that are at ASU or in that part of town at that hour of the day could give the rest of us some parking suggestions?

It's gonna be absolute hell. Around 4:30, most of the lots are still full, lot 59, the one closest to the stadium will have lots of people. You might want to park in the Centerpoint lot, it's a bit of a walk, but not too bad.

I called ASU and they said that they will begin issuing tickets at 4:30 at the turnstiles. The ticket office will close at 3pm.

They asked that no one show up before 4:00pm. I wonder if that is true.
