A former member of the Michigan State football program has hit the NCAA transfer portal for the second time.

Running back Jordon Simmons has made the decision to leave Ole Miss, after spending the spring in Oxford, entering the transfer portal once again.

After spending four years in East Lansing, rushing the ball 137 times for 520 yards, he spent this past year at Akron, running the ball 110 times for 664 yards and two touchdowns.

Following the successful season at Akron, Simmons entered the portal and found what he thought was going to be his new home at Ole Miss, but obviously after spring ball, Simmons felt the need to move on.

A native of Powder Springs, Georgia, there is no indications whether or not Simmons has a new destination in mind for his final year of eligibility.

Ole Miss running back Jordon Simmons has entered the transfer portal, @chris_hummer and I have learned for @cbssports/@247Sports.

Transferred to Ole Miss earlier this year from Akron. Now back in the portal. Started his career at Michigan State.https://t.co/10Sz3YwNKgpic.twitter.com/wOCwbYyEg5
