Helton is great no doubt. In my opinion he's the best hitter in baseball but, he makes 16 million a year for the next gazillion years. We would have to trade Randy and Gonzo to afford him.

It wouldn't bother me a bit to spend Jerry's money. Reup Curt for two years, sign Vlad, and trade for Helton. Lets get it done!!

Yankees will probably end up with him. With Giambi struggling, they may want to upgrade. I know Giambi is still good, but there has been talk about his steady decline. I am probably wrong, but they Evil Empire always seems to nab everyone worth nabbing.
