really? Those seem like the polar opposite of what this movie is supposed to be like. Dates is the very definition of the "high-concept" romcom and P.S. I love you just looked like a pile of dramedy crap.

You know what I mean, Skkorp...a bad chick flick (I like good ones).

We saw it tonight.

I think I was surprised by how much I laughed.

Really well done.

Not an instant classic, but enjoyable and worth the price of admission.

very enjoyable movie - the local theater out here on the west side only charged $4.50 a ticket and I have free large popcorns there until november - got abused on the soda, but for my wife and myself we got out of there for under $15 which isn't bad

i liked it better than superbad, but not as laugh out loud as knocked up, imo

this movie wasn't really trying to club you over the head with humor - just more of a relateable movie with under the breath one liners that were funny as hell

it seems like they threw in the weiner shots and some photographed boob just to keep it rated R

Mila Kunis was adorable in this - kirsten bell was overbearing and evil, but also you could see where he was coming from and the rocker guy was just a guy who no one could hate even though he's kind of a douche

a fun movie

Funnier than Superbad...not as difficult as many believe. Funnier than Knocked Up...I highly doubt it. It just doesn't look that good, like a bad date movie.

I thought superbad was 10x funnier than knocked up

Not me. Superbad was funny, and had some laugh out loud moments, but fell far too heavily on shock language. Plus the plot resolution with the fat kid was simply too much. He was an unrepentant fat douche that ended up with the hot chick. Yeah.

I own knocked up as my wife loves it, this movie is funnier. Knocked up while a great movie gets very real for parts and isn't just laughs all the way through. This one was just funny.

This movie was funny as hell. Funnier then both knocked up and Superbad. However I could have done without the sausage fest scene! :barf:

Saw this yesterday with the wife...Very good movie...We laughed throughout. Better than Superbad, and on par with Knocked Up, IMO. Definitely the funniest movie I've seen this year.

I think Segel has a good writing career in front of him.

I dunno, superbad had me laughing histarically, especially the first half. Sure the ending was unrealistic but its a comedy, I just care about laughing

Just saw this movie...outstanding! Very funny stuff.

I saw one movie reviewer already call it one of the 50 funniest of all time, not sure I agree there but it was worth the price of admission.

I saw this last weekend. It's one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. The first time Peter starting singing his song I almost died laughing.

It's really changed the way I watch "How I Met Your Mother".

I can't help but thinking "I've seen your horse and oat bags."

Okay, so I caved to the board consensus and went to see this flick (yay stimulus IRS money!). I'm glad I did because it was well worth the price of admission. Far better than the cheesy romance it looked to be. Laughed out loud a few times, had some good chuckles in there. Nowhere near as funny as many people are saying, and definitely not up there with Knocked Up. I'd put it right around Superbad, giving this one the edge because it didn't simply rely on potty language for all of its laughs.

What about Knocked Up do people find so hilarious? Knocked Up was a good movie don't get me wrong, but this movie was FUNNIER not a great film or anything just a funny comedy. Knocked Up gets way to real life and serious in many parts that almost make it a romantic comedy or more serious. This movie is a good old fashioned funny flic all the way through.

Except for the parts that were simply painfully awkward, which isn't the least bit funny.

Watched this one last weekend. Loved it!

this movie wasn't really trying to club you over the head with humor - just more of a relateable movie with under the breath one liners that were funny as hell

Well put. It was all the little stuff that made the movie great.

Mila Kunis was adorable in this - kirsten bell was overbearing and evil, but also you could see where he was coming from and the rocker guy was just a guy who no one could hate even though he's kind of a douche

Mila Kunis was ridiculously hot. She made Kristen Bell look sort of ordinary.

This movie was funny as hell. Funnier then both knocked up and Superbad. However I could have done without the sausage fest scene! :barf:

I had to quote Shane because I actually agree with him on a movie. However, I thought the sausage fest scene was hilarious. Jason Segel included this scene because in real life he actually had a girlfriend brake up with him this way...

IMDB said:
Segel admitted that he really did once have a girlfriend who broke up with him while he was completely naked (although rather than being devastated during it, he thought to himself, "This is hilarious. I cannot wait for her to leave so I can write this down.")

So just watched this on Sunday, yay it came to Valentine!

First off, Mila Kunis is smoking hot. Bada is right, Kristen Bell who is very attractive appeared average when paired on screen with Mila Kunis.

Overall I enjoyed the show and the humor wasn't hit you in the head type of stuff like with Superbad, parts of Knocked Up, and other Apatow and crew works.

It was very relateable and subtle in its humor.

Aldous Snow was the man. One of the most likeable, funny side characters I've seen in the past few years. Just like McLovin' this guy stole the show.

Paul Rudd gave a good performance as the surfer instructor. "When life gives you lemons, just say 'F*** the lemons,' and bail. " Great line.

Kenneth was pretty good too Let me just say that if God was a city planner he would not put a playground next to a sewage system! " Though I believe he is forever Kenneth and will always be. No way can he escape that.

My wife and I saw this on DVD yesterday. She doesn't usually like "these kind" of movies but she was laughing out loud and we both loved the movie.

Russell Brand was great as Aldous.

Kristen Bell is VERY AVERAGE! No matter who shes on screen with.

really, really solid romantic comedy. Mila Kunis, yeowza!

the best part was Peter's character sitting at the piano singing about how self-indulgent and pathetic he was and whether or not he'd see a shrink.

between this and 40 Year Old Virgin, Apatow has made two really funny, really likable romcoms. Don't get me wrong, I liked Knocked Up, but man, that movie's characters just bugged the crap out of me.
