Stevie Anderson in critical condition

HOUSTON -- Detroit Lions receiver Scotty Anderson and his brother were stabbed in the parking lot of a Houston nightclub early Monday after a scuffle with another club patron, police said.
Anderson's brother, Stevie, once a receiver with the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals, was critically wounded and is currently being hospitalized, Houston police spokesman Alvin Wright told The Associated Press.
Scotty Anderson also was wounded in the fight, Wright said, but his injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.
Two men were arrested after fleeing the scene of the fight, police said. Police wouldn't release the identities of either man. It is not known if charges have been filed against them.
The fight happened shortly after the southwest Houston club, Crystal Nite Club, closed for the night, police said.
At about the same time, Wright said, a man fired a gun into a crowd of people at the other end of the parking lot. The man was later arrested. Wright said police doesn't believe the incidents are related.
"Nothing is final; nothing is complete,'' Wright said. "We're still in the middle of an investigation.''
Anderson is entering his third year with the Lions, catching 25 passes for 322 yards and one touchdown last season. He was drafted in the fifth round out of Grambling State.
