One of the more underrated moves in the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 offseason has to be the signing of former New York Jets CB Brandin Echols to a two-year contract.

Echols, a sixth-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has played in 57 games for the Jets, with 19 of those in a starting role.

He may not be the only former Jet making his way to the Steel City, however, as four-time MVP QB Aaron Rodgers has been heavily linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the past several days.

Regarding his former teammate, Echols offered praise for how Rodgers bounced back to end the 2024 season:

"I think he played good, especially towards the end of the season. I wish the outcome was a little better, but towards the end of the season, he started to really wake up."

Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers may not be mentally prepared for Rodgers to don the Black and Gold, but it may very well be a reality we all have to accept—and Echols singing his praises makes this hard pill a little easier to swallow.

CB Brandin Echols' assessment of former -- and maybe future? -- teammate Aaron Rodgers' play last year:

"I think he played good, especially towards the end of the season. I wish the outcome was a little better, but towards the end of the season he started to really wake up."
