Which is why I say Manny should quit complaining about Floyd wanting strict tests.

I like Manny but if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear. His BS excuse that "needles make him weak" flies about as well as a penguin.

I wish it was a bigger news source breaking it, would make it a little more believeable. But if it ever came out that he was juicing, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

The guy has moved from 112 to 147 while seemingly only getting faster and stronger as he got older. Then throw in his constant deflections and almost disinterest in fighting Floyd in what would be without question the biggest $$$ fight really has me think he has something to hide. Cause Floyd has changed his requirements on testing multiple times and yet still can't get Pac to agree.

Until he fails a test or someone really breaks the story, I'll give him the chance that he has basically done the impossible....but my gut tells me he has had help to get to where he is now. And its what has allowed him to move from the great fighter category into the argument of greatest ever pound for pound.

So I take it you think Floyd juices too?

Afterall Floyd started out at the same weight Manny did, a year later, and has moved all the way up to the same weight Manny is now.

They're essentially the same weight. one guy was born into poverty and was skinny as a rail and lying about his age to get into boxing, the other was born rich and had all the advantages of training growing up. Does it really surprise people that when Manny got into a better training situation and kept speed and power?

If he is doping and it comes out I'll be the first to chastise him, I hate doping.

I just get frustrated with people harping on this stuff and ignoring Lance Armstrong yet again having another former teammate come out and say he doped and everyone believes Lance.

Apologize in advance for the tone but it annoys me that Lance gets treated the way he does and someone like Manny is the other way when there's so much more evidence against Lance.

FYI I know why the link doesn't work, the "story" came from the website Free Press Release, which is literally as it sounds, virtually anybody can go there as a blogger and post a story as a press release.

This other site picked it up and apparently when they realized what the source was, they killed their link on their site.

http://www.thesweetscience.com/news...ke-byline-alleges-steroid-hgh-use-by-pacquiao

Shady website, fake byline written originally by a guy who apparently considers himself a professional gambler. the key to the story is he says it was a Filipino that injected Manny and Manny's people say they can provide records that show he had no Filipino sparring partners during that time.

The sparring partner per the story refuses to give his name because he fears reprisal from other Filipinos so they aren't even naming the source.

Has Lance ever refused to enter a race because they wanted to drug test him?

Just sayin.

I dont get why everyone is hating on Floyd and taking Manny's side. Ya Floyd is a jerk but we're talking about boxing. All Floyd wanted was the Olympic style drug testing and Manny refused to do it. He's either a coward and doesn't want to fight Floyd, or he's a doper. He's not passing on the biggest fight of his life because he's "scared of needles" thats a load of bullcrap.

Are you kidding? yes he's refused several times and retired twice. he dropped out of the Tour of California when they announced they were going to use Olympic Style Drug Testing. He was one of the spokesmen for the event his picture was on all the marketing, within days of them announcing it, he told them he was pulling out. he later announced his retirement. He dropped out of the Olympics in 04 when the Greekss announced they'd be using a new form of testing, tons of athletes dropped out it was hilarious to see the names coming out once they found out the new tests would catch them.

Pacquiao didn't refuse to fight, he refused to let Mayweather set the guidelines he offered to be tested IMMEDIATELY after the fight, he offered to pre fight testing guidelines, he just wouldn't agree to the ones mayweather picked. And if people paid attention, that had been his policy for years and it was precisely why Mayweather picked that timeframe, he knew Manny would say no and then he could claim Manny ducked him.

He refused based on WHEN the testing would take place, not on how. They agreed to 3 tests random, blood and urine, even the amount of blood that USADA tests require(not required in Nevada), what they didn't agree on was the cutoff date because Manny said drawing that much blood that close to the fight weakens him, and he'd do it after the fight. Mayweather refused.

I agree the scared of needles thing from a guy with tattoos is silly, but the main thing is he says giving that much blood so close to the fight weakens him so it should be done after the fight.

I learned everythign I needed to know about Mayweathers fear of fighting a steroid guy when that fight fell through and he instead fought.... Mosley who is the one fighter in that weight area who has admitted under oath he used steroids and EPO. The Balco people insist he used HGH too but he's denied it.

Mayweather started out saying Manny used steroids, when he agreed to the tests but not USADA he then said hey that won't catch HGH and he's using it. So why did you say steroids? When they agreed to that but test after the fight not just before, mayweather walked away from the fight.

No I wasn't kidding, that's why it had a ??? mark after it. I dont follow cycling so I didn't know if Lance had ever refused testing, that's why I asked.

Everything else is up for debate but the bottom line is that Manny could have fought Floyd but he wouldn't agree to the testing. Anything they did to Manny they'd have done to Floyd so the playing field was still level, Manny just didn't want to do the tests. Plus Manny's excuses got more and more elaborate as time went on and his people had more time to come up with excuses. It started out as "Manny is afraid of needles" Then it was, "Giving blood makes Manny weak." on to whatever the stock excuse is today. That's telling in my opinion.

I agree, Floyd is being a dick about the tests. No question. But at some point if Manny had nothing to hide, he'd just say, whatever, I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE, and do the tests, lol.

Sorry the Lance thing bothers me to no end because to me he gets a pass because he's American and because he's done so much good with Cancer and Livestrong people don't want to believe he's lying about the PED use.

Both retirements came after pulling out of events that announced new drug testing and he's pulled out of other events.

The point is either one of them could have given in. they agreed to 3 of the 4 requirements Mayweather put in, all 3 Manny gave in even though he's the champ not the challenger. I get your point Manny could have said yes, but the point is why would taking the exact same test AFTER the fight not satisfy Floyd?

If Floyd really wants the fight but is concered Manny cheats, take the test after. Manny stipulated he would forfeit his entire purse if he tested positive, their rules were very clear if the winner of the fight tested positive the result would be vacated, and any fighter testing positive would waive all of their purse. This was to test after, and mayweather refused.

It depends how you look at it, Manny could have said ok to what Mayweather wanted and you don't like his excuse. But Mayweather could have said yes too and he won't even offer an explanation for why not, he just said if he won't agree to my terms, I won't fight. His own people admitted that taking the same test after would be valid.

Good points Russ. My point is that the general public seems to be putting the blame 100% on Floyd, and I think they both have blame to share.

I'm sure you're like me though, I really dont care who's to blame, I just want them to quit screwing around and give us the fight we want. Time is running out and neither of them are getting any younger. In that sense I think they are both being selfish and stupid, we could already be on the REMATCH by now. Do they not realize they can get atleast 3 MEGA paydays out of eachother?

Exactly although at this point I would prefer Manny just retire and go into politics full bore. He's doing a lot of good in the PI I guess the argument is if he keeps fighting he has more money to donate.

Thats interesting stuff about Lance though. Kindof disappointing. Like I said I hadn't followed the whole thing closely but it would be sad if everything he's done was tainted by that.

I'll say though I dont know how much it matters at this point, I'm sure the cycling purists will never forgive him but atleast he's used his fame and fortune to do a lot of good things (like Manny)

I actually believe that both fighters have already fought their best fights and every fight from either of them from this point forward will only highlight their fading skills... Manny's fight against Mosely is a perfect illustration. Sorta reminds me of the Leonard - Hearns II fight. Should have happend way before they actually got together for the 2nd time, and it was a major disappointment and only demonstrated how far down each fighter had fallen. Manny has been thru so many wars and has now been being beaten on by bigger, stronger guys for that past 2 years or so. Floyd hasn't fought since May of last year, and has only fought twice in the past 2 years. He's 34.
This fight would've been EPIC had it taken place 18-24 months ago. Now? I'm not so sure...

Even worse news out for Lance today. George Hincapie another ex teammate came out and said I doped, and Lance did too, he told the Feds this.

The problem is less than a year ago Lance called him "like a brother to me" and actually used him as an example of a heroic person when bashing Floyd Landis. So now if he says he's not credible, as he says about everyone else, he's saying that about someone he called like a brother less than a year ago.
