I think Coughlin may have killed him if he missed. BTW, i wanted Coughlin as our choice instead of Green a few years back. THe guy has been a winner everyhwere. Once he gets rid of the whiny players, his teams win.

His teams win what? I don't see a ring on his finger......

Besides, hindsight is always 20/20.......everyone here was doing cartwheels when the ol' apple biter came aboard

:biglaugh: Happens to every kicker at some point in their careers. There really is no such thing as a reliable kicker if Vinatiarri could have a year kicking the 70% range.

We need a punter more than a kicker. Rackers can still rather consistently kickoff into the endzone. What is that worth? I think he will be back on track next year. He had a bad year so have a lot of stars. Lets not throw away the baby with the wash water. I doubt that Graves or Whiz is even giving a thought to getting rid of Rackers. Likely not even on the long range radar screen.

Or St.Louis at Arizona 2006, Chicago at Arizona 2006. Or with any game the Cardinals lose for that matter, the wrong team won.

I'm not going that far. I'll say any game the Cardinals (or anyone else) lose that they outplayed their opponent, the wrong team won. I think Arizona was involved in two such games this year: Washington and Cleveland.

Unless the officials substantially tilted the favor to one team with bad calls, then the team that put up more points did in fact outplay the other team. If one team has more yards, YPA, fewer penalties, and fewer turnovers, but can't score redzone TDs for instance, they might score 4 FGs, but lose to the other teams 2 TDs. This logic can be applied to any loss that didn't involve the officials jobbing a team.

Bah, these thing matter not. The score has always determined the correct winner and always will. To win, score more than your opponent.

Stats? Are there not three kinds of lies? (some famous gury sayeth, maybe Winston Churchill):

"Lies. Damned Lies. And statistics!"

Sorry, the only correct winner is the Cardinals in any game they play. If the other team has more points then the wrong team won.

It's a decent policy, but not necessarily one I agree with. Some games are statistical anomalies where the only place a team wins is on the scoreboard. I remember a game where Jacksonville completely dominated in every aspect, but somehow, Tennessee won the game. They are rare, but in my opinion, there are times where the wrong team wins.

When that happens, it's never the officials' fault, because it's your own fault for putting yourself in position to get jobbed.

And to those who said that any game where the Cardinals lose, the wrong team won, one thing you should know about me is that I am very unbiased with all my posts. As such, I'm not going to make superfan claims like that one.

I was just messing with you. It was a question of semantics. You are talking about the right team winning based on the play on the field. I'm talking about the right team winning from a fans' standpoint. Its not a superfan claim but any fan of a particular team. There are few if any fans of a team that, after a loss, find solace in the fact that the other team outplayed them and deserved to win.
Instead they are ticked that the other team outplayed their team.

Although I would say I am a superfan. A fan of Arizona Cardinal football rather than just a fan of NFL football in general and will never apologize for being biased in favor of Arizona.
