Buc is not a Safety. I would much rather have Ty + Baker be the S combo. Keep Buc at ILB until we find a replacement for him, then let him walk in FA.
That just means you are doing it right. Not sure why, but I pretty much disagree with every post I've ever read of yours. Carry on.

Rookie Press Conference with Budda Baker, Chad Williams & Dorian Johnson

They all sound like great guys... confident but humble. Williams is a little wide-eyed like a kid in a candy shop, but he seems like he was raised well & had a good head on his shoulders.
Dorian comes off really mature & intelligent. His responses are well thought out. He seems like he'll adapt to the NFL really well.
The wildcard in this equsion is Bethae.just thinking about our team is best suited to play 425 defense

Mathieu isn't a safety, either.
Baker is the FS/slot CB, while Tyrann is the SS/slot CB.They have all these supposed Nickel CBs, but apparently still no FS. I don't get it! Who is going to be the safety valve between the two boundary CBs if not Baker?

I actually think that Baker can/will play a more traditional FS role, phasing out Antoine Bethea.
It is one of the things I cannot stand about the Cardinals defense, and it is the same problem I have with the ILBer position.
Bucanon is not an ILBer, and we have no true free safeties.
Maybe that is the reason teams can smash the ball down the Cardinals' defense's throats in the run game, and throw over the top in the passing game. But, it is not like the Cardinals had a chance to draft a free safety with great range and potential, and passed it up to draft more undersized "hybrid players".......oh wait.
Like he said. The 2016 Cardinals defense was 3rd in passing DVOA, 7th in rushing DVOA. They were 13th in power defense success (Percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. Also includes runs on first-and-goal or second-and-goal from the two-yard line or closer.) They were 2nd in open field tackling.
Those facts may not be true in 2017, having lost a ton of snaps at all three levels of the defense, but your assertion doesn't have much evidence to back it up.
In Bucannon's 2nd & 3rd seasons with the Cardinals, the D was top-5 in yards allowed, top-10 in rushing yards allowed and yards allowed per rush (#3 last year), and top-10 in passing yards allowed and yards allowed per attempt (#3 last year). It is one of the things I cannot stand about the Cardinals defense, and it is the same problem I have with the ILBer position.
