Four-star safety recruit Tamarion Watkins, a four-star prospect from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina, has narrowed his college choices to five. He recently announced that Alabama, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, and Texas A&M are the final five remaining schools in his recruitment.

The South Carolina Gamecocks appear to be the front-runners to land in-state safety Tamarion Watkins. The four-star had a recent visit to Columbia, South Carolina, this past weekend. He has also scheduled an official visit for the weekend of June 20.

Georgia is one of the finalist for Watkins and they are going to fight hard for him. Watkins is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety that can create plays on defense. Georgia lost out on former cornerback commitment Jontavius Wyman, who flipped to Miami.

Georgia only has one defensive commit in four-star safety Zech Fort. Now, the recruiting process for most players in this upcoming signing class is nearing the end and will be seeing a lot commitments soon.

During his junior season at Northwestern, Watkins recorded 75 tackles and three interceptions, helping the Northwestern Trojans achieve a perfect 14-0 record and a state championship in 2024, according to MaxPreps.
