France have lost just once in 10 previous encounters with Croatia, a run that includes victory over the Checkered Ones in the 2018 World Cup final. However, that sole defeat came in the last meeting between the teams as Luka Modric’s fifth-minute penalty secured Croatia a 1-0 win in France in 2022.
