Gambo says there is zero interest in Beasley, his agent is trying to create a market for his client. I know that was suspected here but it's a relief to hear it from someone close to the Suns organization, even if it is Gambo.

Given Gambo's accuracy rate, that actually makes me more nervous, not less.

Here's a player who might be a nice fit for the Suns:

https://www.nba.com/timberwolves/roster-review-nemanja-bjelica-1

He's a restricted free agent, and the Wolves have all sorts of cap problems so may not be motivated to match.

He's an excellent 3-point shooter with size. Has some limitations, but started for 7 games when Butler went down and I guess the Wolves didn't skip a beat. He's Serbian like Kokoskov, so that may be a selling point in recruiting him.

I didn't need to hear it, but it's always nice to reaffirm the world is not totally insane.

We just got done paying him after stretching him to release him. The same GM and owner are still here.

There is literally a better chance of them signing me. The only story here is one of an obvious clueless writer.

Suns will draft a point guard with the 16th pick. no need to get a Vet. Maybe a Vet big that can shoot. This is my Burner account I;m really someone big in the Suns.

I know we got 2 young bigs already and we're going to be adding a 3rd come the draft, Ayton, but I think it makes more sense to target a vet PG and a rookie big at 16. There's a learning curve with rookies and with a PG that may end up needing to start we probably won't be able to get that good of one at 16. I think trading that pick for a young PG who has played a year or two in the league would probably be the best option, since the FA pool is pretty dry when it comes to PG's. If they can use 16 to trade, great, if not then select BPA.

I agree that expecting to get a ready-to-start PG at #16 is a recipe for disappointment.

If the Suns can't move up in the draft I might consider drafting BPA at #16 and if it is not a PG... draft one at #31. There should be some good ones even this late.

I'm liking Devonte Graham and others at #31.

The more I look at players available the less I think the Suns should target a PG later in the draft. They should try to trade up but we've got plenty of prospects already at PG and the chances of landing one that much better than the players we have is slim. As of now we'll have Canaan, Harrison, and Knight who will be around for training camp with Payton and Ulis being question marks. Any worse than Shai and I don't see the point, honestly. I think we'll keep either Payton or Ulis, probably not both, but combined with our other 3 players that sets us pretty well for PG by committee and I know that doesn't seem attractive since we tried that this last season I think Payton and Knight add some stability we lacked. They're NBA level players, at the least.

Canaan isn't under contract but was told he'd have a spot in camp when he suffered his injury and was waived. Harrison's multiyear contract doesn't kick in unless he makes the regular season roster so there's no risk there. Knight is on a bad contract that isn't quite atrocious since there's only 2 years left and the cap spiked. Ulis did look good in spurts and Payton did also. What's interesting about all of them is you don't really see them as having similar skillsets, they're different enough that overlap is limited and we should have 3 decent PG's next year as well as 1 on a Two-Way deal. I doubt we'll be as unprepared as this year.

So many options but not a quality starter among them unless the Suns decide Payton or Knight can start.

Even then there are question marks.

I'm guessing the Suns want a quality starter besides Booker. If the Suns draft a player like Shai they probably will be content to have Knight start with a couple of youngsters behind him.

Gambo & Ash this afternoon were discussing the possibility of bringing back Dragic, no thanks.

We have seen this film twice already. And the Heat would want their unprotected first round pick back.

Now if the Heat would accept #16 for Dragic I might listen.

I do not think I would trade #16 for Dragic. Goran Dragic probably could be had for two second round picks. I would be down with that.

I'd rather see IT brought back for 1 year than Dragic brought back at all. Sign IT to a big 1 year deal to fill the gap temporarily, similar to how Philly signed Reddick or the Lakers signed Caldwell-Pope. Wouldn't be excited at the prospect of either returning but I could see IT helping more in the W column than Dragic.

I would rather play Bender at point guard than Thomas. Thomas thinks every team is his team. He wouldn't even defer to LeBron, so just imagine how he'll see himself compared to Booker.

I'd do it for two 2nd round picks.

Dragic is under contract next season and the following season is a player option. This would be cheap for a quality player. Booker and Dragic would work well together.

However, I don't think two 2nd round picks get it done.

The Suns have been fleeced in some recent trades under Ryan McDonough, it is time to return the favor.

So let me get this straight. The Suns get Dragic back and get to keep both Miami first round picks.

Putting a lot of stress on the defense with a I.T & Booker backcourt. No bueno.
