Damn this sucks ... Where did you hear Thursday ?

Confirmed. ESPNews just reported it

No news on whether this affects the cut deadline though.

If this gets extended any longer, I'm going to NY and beat the hell out of both owners and the heads of the NFLPA.

AP just reported the Alexander deal. Due to the timing, I am guessing the salary cap deadline stayed the same.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it delayed again. Once they moved the cut line back to 11:30, I figured something like this was being considered. Why an hour-and-a-half? In order to get the owners to vote on something.

-No more talks will occur
-Upshaw said NFL called him and and said NFL will take whatever players proposed and will show it to all the owners. It will be reviewed on Tuesday/WEdnesday
-There wasnt going to be a hot marked for Shaun Alexander
-The 11:30 cut time has been pushed back as well
-This extension was given to give parties that will be involved in FA to catch their breath
-Owners meet 2pm CT on Tuesday
-80-90% of cuts probably would happen anyway regardless
-The cuts today might be alowed to be rescinded

What load of crap. Teams should have been ready for FA or have a plan in place for FA last friday. One for a new CBA and without out a new CBA. So once again a team such as ours who was ready for free agency and ahead of the pack gets to sit back and watch as other teams get more time to re-sign their own players, restructure new deals to help get under the cap, thus no cuts and less FA on the market, which means an even weaker FA market that we were prepared for.

Really how many players have been restructured or re-signed since the original deadline, I dont know the exact number but it is one to many that should have been on the market or cut by now.

Not surprising with the Cardinals in a great cap position to swallow up all the cap casualties that it keeps getting extended.

You can bet if it were teams like N.E, DAL, PHI, PIT, in our position, the extensions would be happening.

Exactly, the teams that have manipulated the cap and brought this situation on themselves gets rewarded, while teams with good cap management gets punished.

Or you can see this as Franchises that have been spending a lot of money trying to put good teams on the field are being rewarded, and the lames and cheap beeing punished.

It is sad to see millionaires fighting over money with all of the other issues going on in this Country.

Isn't that the same as saying, "It's sad to see business owners trying to increase their company's profitability?"

Not really
Why?

We should send Daniel Snyder to Iran to clear up the whole nukes thing. What's he doing worrying about football when he could be doing something like that.
