No -- not who goes where

but rather:

Anyone care to set the over/under on days until the first Cardinal free agency "freak out" thread is started? Something along the lines of "Oh my god, Team A just signed Player X, Player Z just signed in City B-- and the Cardinals havent even had anyone in town for a visit yet--Graves, do something!!!! -----ahhhhhhhh!"

I will be stunned if we dont get one of those type threads by next monday morning at the latest.

Everything I have heard and read coming out of the mouths of Graves, Whisenhunt, Urban, Wolfely, Somers and others is that the Cardinals are not going after the big names. They will not be active in the first week of free agency (when everyone overpays). They will target a handful of guys, and sign a few of them after free agency is a week to ten days old. Its just the way it is.

By March 3rd, there will be a half dozen or more posts from people bitching and moaning about how Graves and the Cardinals have been "cheap" this post-season and how they "aren't committed to winning".

Happens every year my friend.. Every freakin year.

For my part, it's not going to be concern about bringing in FAs. It will be signing and/or extending our own.

Agreed. No one is asking for Haynesworth or the like. Just asking for any movement at all.

Its funny there is just as much complaining about the complainers as there are complainers complaining. Pots and Kettles we all are.

I have a complaint about your thread that is complaining about the complainers complaining about too many complaints.

I have a complaint. It was a post not a thread. Jeez get it right I dont have time to correct you, it is taking away time from my complaining.

Can you imagine anyone ever complaining about anything the Cardinals do, especially in regard to FA? I mean, the most storied franchise in the league, which has done everything right throughout the years, how dare you bitch?

As far as this year goes, I'm fine with us letting Smith go, keeping everyone else, and picking up a few decent FA's. To complain about people's complaints in the past seems a bit short sighted considering the history of the franchise, doesn't it?

Nope. A new day has arrived. Those that continuously look backward are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.

Heh, the original quote is those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it....details, details. Good to see you back and posting 40, where have you been?
