It worked for Rocky in the 1st movie
Fundamental misunderstanding of my favorite movie ever. Rocky never got knocked out. He stayed on his feet and fought to the death until the final bell.

Didn’t look like the biggest joke in football then throw in the white towel in round 15 like Kyler did when he refused to go back in the game at the end.

If this team showed Rocky-esque fight at the end of the season, people wouldn’t have so many problems with the team.

Instead, last season, we were Clubber Lang. Shot out of the gates from nowhere, looked like a monster, then got our pants pulled down and ass whooped at the end of the year in embarrassing fashion.

Why are we still talking/debating about this?

People are on two very different sides and they aren't going to change their position.

One side chooses to believe the the season was a failure.
The other side chooses to believe that the team made progress.

We can all agree that nobody likes the way the season ended.

hmmmm, ill bite on this.
I think its important to note that in a season where there were expectations to MAKE the playoffs, the cardinals did just that.

Building on that-- I would like to see them win and ADVANCE this year. I find that hard to believe the way the current roster stacks up. ( unless he nails the draft )

Yeah Myles was never as good as expected, he recovered from the knee but he's just never been the star it looked like he might be. Lots of tackles but that goes with the position, very few sacks and INTs

I joked about it earlier but when Myles was coming out there were several NFL scouts who thought he should move to RB, a couple of teams thought he was the 2nd best RB in the draft behind Ezikiel Elliott(and laughably in hindsight ahead of Derrick Henry who NFL teams thought was too big and overused in college.) People forget Myles was insanely good at RB in college given limited practice reps. UCLA was floundering so they put him in at RB as a freshman first game 6 carries 120 yards a 66 yard game winning TD. Next week 4 TD's. But Myles apparently wanted to play defense because he thought ironically he would have a longer NFL career as a LB than he would as a RB. There was a game his freshman year where he played defense, RB, blocked a punt on special teams and played about 120 snaps!

So when he tore the meniscus as a junior, playing LB, it wasn't a total shock. But there were NFL teams who apparently told him they thought he was a better RB prospect than he was a LB, his lack of instincts against the pass were already apparent. But most people had him at LB and he says he never considered playing anything but LB in the NFL.

Obviously not going to convert now but I do wonder if he ever second guesses that decision, but given where Henry went that year it's likely Myles wouldn't have been a 1st round pick at RB either.

They weren't wrong. Have given up 75%+ of his targets in the last 4 years. Nearly 80% last year. 439 yards. 2 TD's 108 passer rating. Dude is awful against the pass in a passing league.

At this point here would be my ideal plan for the Cardinals.

Bring in these guys, all on 2 year deals. The top 2 guys have not gotten the big deals they were hoping for. The bottom 4 are guys that improve our team but have some question marks.

Zadarius Smith
Allen Robinson
Calais Campbell
Andrew Norwell
Donte Jackson

I mean, they obviously weren't an issue seeing as we had 11 wins.
11 wins, 11 wins, 11 wins. Love your single leg to stand on. Tell me, after watching the team completely collapse down the stretch in every game that mattered, did you look at that team and think this is a team that is close?

Your list makes no sense.
Perhaps you didn't understand that this wasn't a like for like breakdown. If you truly want to
Watt did not replace Reddick.
Nobody said he did. We signed Watt, who was good (then injured) Reddick was a player that was criminally misused by the current regime, and now is rewarded with an appropriate contract.
We already had much cheaper Golden who had nearly as many sacks as Reddick for less money
Are you seriously going to make an argument that Golden was better for the money than Reddick, or anywhere near the player?
and CJ was back.
And now gone, because of the current FO!
Butler decided to retire rather than get beat out by a rookie.
THIS IS A MISTAKE OF THE FO!!! You sign Butler as a replacement for PP, and our corners were bad. They're still bad, and that's all a reflection of the FO.

That rookie wasn't very good!
Peterson sucked for the Vikings and would have cost 3x what Butler cost.
Oh, you are a PP expert?

QB rating allowed, 78.7 Yards/target, 6.3 TD allowed, 2 Comp rate, 56.6% Yards allowed, 477 Air yards, 227 YAC, 250

All lower than his previous 4 years in Arizona.

PFF rating 63 overall, 61 in coverage. Would have been the best on our team!

Devondre Campbell didn't fit and was poor outside the first 5 games he played.
Didn't fit? When do people like you start looking at the FO and the system instead of the players who GO ON TO THRIVE ELSEWHERE? How many examples of this do you need to get to start figuring out maybe the problem is the system?
Literally nobody was bothered when we didn't resign him so we could play our #8 overall pick.
That worked out super!
Rasul Douglas was cut by the Texans (the Texans!) a week before the season started and we added him to the PS and literally nobody here thought anything more about him or that he should be on the rosters the first 7 games.
NOBODY HERE WATCHES HIM PRACTICE WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT. The guys that are supposed to do that are the ones that are cutting him, even knowing how bad our corners are.

yep if you look at Jags fans sites some are like man that guy was a stud but the vast majority are saying I got tired of watching him on 3rd and 6 allow an 8 yard catch, make the tackle and then look around like he was wondering whose fault it was that his man was open.

he was a 2 way player in HS, a 2 way player for 2 years at UCLA(part time) and then barely played his junior year because he got hurt. He just doesn't have the instincts to defend the pass.

Man I was really hoping for Allen Robinson at a reasonable deal but Kirks ridiculous signing probably screwed that up.
His signing screwed up any WR at a reasonable rate.
