I didn't see this posted anywhere, but at the bottom of a Jerry Brown article it has this list:

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/92503

Suns’ free agent wish list:

Grant Hill
The oft-injured forward has exhausted his $93 million, seven-year deal with Orlando and has expressed an interest in playing for Phoenix.

P.J. Brown
Veteran power forward earned $8.5 million last year playing for the Bulls, but he’ll have to settle for much less if he wants to play for the Suns.

Travis Diener
Orlando backup guard could be an option to help keep payroll down.

Allan Houston
Skilled shooting guard has missed two seasons due to knee injuries. Can he return to form?

I like the idea of Diener. Andy, thoughts? :)

I just posted that article in the Grant Hill thread, but it probably deserves it's own thread. Quite a few people were high on Diener, so they'll be excited that he's mentioned.

Edit: Actually that's a little bit different than the article I posted, also by Brown, although it mentions most of the same things.

In that article it says the Brown is out of the question since the Suns weren't able to unload Thomas.

In the Republic Kerr made it sound as if they are only going to sign one free agent.

Has PJ Brown expressed ANY interest in playing for the Suns? I didn't think he had.

Sheridan's Top 25:

Grant Hill is in the top 10 on the list, but he doesn't even mention Phoenix as being a destination. Chris Webber and Jamaal Magloire were beat out at #25 by Matt Carroll! LOL

He might possibly be the worst basketball analyst that ESPN has, and that's saying a lot because he has a lot of company.

He stole the crown from Chris Broussard? Who prob stole it from Bucher.

Hopefully a flood will crash down upon the espn office and we can just start anew with some competent analysts

Bucher is actually a decent analyst. He just sucks as a "insider".

Speaking of Matt Caroll, I'd love to have him on the Suns, he's just as good, if not better from three as Diener, but he's much taller (6'6'' compared to 6'1'') and could play SF for the Suns at times.

Carroll would be nice but he is a young guy who is looking for the security of a good deal. He played well enough last year to earn a decent contract. I highly doubt that he would take a discount to play for the Suns this early in his career.

Diener, on the other hand didn't get much play last year, and I doubt that he will get any substantial offers. He could use a one year stint with the Suns to possibly showcase his skills assuming he can earn PT. If he is a playmaker and shooter and has half of a brain, he would be a great addition.

If you think about it, poor shooting is what held Marcus Banks back. Teams would sag defensively on him because he was not an outside threat. By sagging off of him, teams could nullify his quickness and driving abilities and also be in better position to help defensively when he passed to teammates. A consistent jumper would open up many more facets of his game as well as give him the confidence he was clearly lacking last year. I will be paying close attention to his progress in the summer league. He really should be able to tear up that league.

I would prefer barnes over caroll and diener.

Well thats even less realistic than me hoping for Carroll :p I'm sure we'd all love to see Barnes here, but he's not going to come ride the pine in Phoenix for the LLE or something like that. Someone is going to give him a nice contract.

Im sure every other GM knows he made less than a mill and could be a one hit wonder. I dont see him going for more than 3yr/10mill or like 5/18

For as many GMs in the league who think that way there are 2 or 3 that see him as a player that is ready to break out and show off his full potential and will go out and offer him the MLE.
