We still have some holes on our roster, here are some names still available who I think could help.

Max Starks - OT
*If you want to cut either Colledge, Snyder or Sendlein, and you are comfortable with Potter as an OG option, Max Starks is a great option as a backup LT.

John Abraham - DE
*If we are going to run a 4 man front in nickel packages, Abraham can still give us quality snaps as a pass rusher. He doesn't have the athleticism anymore to play as an OLB in a 3-4, but he still can come off the edge in a 4 man front and harass the QB in passing situations.

Daryl Smith - LB
*He isn't a rush threat outside, but he is a leader and can give us a legitimate WILB option while Washington is out for the first 4 games. I believe Minter will end up putting Brinkley on the bench by the end of the year, but the start of the season matters to me. Also, if we are going to run a 3-3-5 nickel package, Smith is a better option than Brinkley or Minter or maybe even Acho as a 3rd LB.

Stanford Routt - CB
*He failed as a FA with the Chiefs and hasn't been re-signed by the Texans who picked him up last year either. However, he played really well two years ago and maybe he can return to form if he is able to focus on his game without the pressure to start. I just don't trust Powers injury history and Flemming's developement.

Charles Woodson - S/CB
*?. I don't know how much better he is than Bell, but I have to think he is. The only reason I list him is because I hate the Rashad Johnson, Yerimiah Bell and Justin Bethel group while we wait for Tyrann Mathieu to get back into football after taking a year off. Essentially, this is due to a lack of better options though I am not confident Woodson is a better option. I guess I just like the idea of Woodson on a roster with Peterson and Mathieu.

There it is. Five potentially one-year deals that improve this roster significantly. If it was up to me, I would add Starks, Abraham and Smith today. Routt and Woodson probably look better on paper than in reality, but I still would strongly consider them.

I think you have to throw Dalla Clark in there too. He is only 33, played all 16 games last year and had 47 catches.

I would also kick the tires on Quintin Mikell.

I like your other options too.

Kerry Rhodes...

Now that he sees the market won't bear his demands, maybe...

...who'm I kidding? His pride wouldn't allow it.

Money is stronger than pride. If the market dries up and we are the only viable option to start and make money on a 1 year deal, he will snatch it up.

Is there really nothing out there at TE? I'm a huge Jim Dray fan, but I'd like another guy who can at least kind of block and catch the ball.

I like Jeff King, too, but he was awful last year, especially as a blocker.

*Kffl has them listed as UFA but if you google it seems like they're still on their former teams.

Kevin Boss might be the best available, but I think he has struggled with injuries.

Other than that, maybe Billy Bajema?

Dallas Clark, TE
Donte Rosario, TE
Charles Woodson, S

That is about it, as far as I can see and the only one that I would really consider is Clark.

It is going to take a miracle for the Cardinals to make the playoffs this year. Thus I think the more they play and test out the youth and all those players they have on 1 year deals the better.

I know they want to use the cool term of "reload" instead of "rebuild" but this organization is rebuilding. Thus let the foundation dry and become strong and build off of it.

Wouldn't mind Charles Woodson at all for the right price. Like OP said I'm pretty sure that he's a better option than Bell. Also love the idea of Woodson, Peterson, and Mathieu in the same secondary.

(I'm a big Woodson fan, so I may be a little biased :D)

I would make the trade for Albert & see if the Chiefs would take Levi & a 3rd as compensation

BA seems to love Levi, so unless it's a ploy to make him seem more important to deal him, I don't think he's going anywhere

He also said he was happy with our QBs then traded for Palmer, said he thought the Oline was better than its criticism & then drafted 2 more OGs & cut a starter. It's called coachspeak.

Production says Levi isn't anything more than average & that's the reality of it! I wouldn't be suprised to see him cut after the 2013 for the betterment of the Oline & another top flight LT drafted! Why not add a better player than Levi in Albert?

he didn't call any players let go elite. And he may very well have been happy with them. But they were still overpaid. Levi's contract isn't bad, and if he plays like he did the last half of 2011, I'll be happy with him. I wont cry if he's traded either, I thought Potter did well last year and will continue to improve, but I'm not holding my breath

If BA really thinks Levi's elite, he will probably be unemployed in 3yrs.

Btw I'm tired of hearing how well he played in just 1 back half of 6 seasons. :bang:

lol, I'm not calling the guy elite. Arians seems like he sees something in him still though. And while I do completely agree, he's been unimpressive at best, downright pathetic at worst, until those last few games. The thing I like about Levi right now is that his contract actually matches what he's worth finally, so I'm not in a rush to dump him. I'd like to see if he does build off those last few games though. Maybe it finally clocked for him. Then again, maybe it's a fluke. Could just be he had a hot streak. But with his contract, and a completely retooled coaching staff that gives the line significantly more attention, I'd be glad to just wait and see

Lets not forget that we're moving to more of zone blocking scheme, which may actually be much better suited to Lyle's skillset. Just sayin!
