Are there any out there currently you would add to this team?????

I say Antonio Freeman or Frank Sanders but only at a reasonable price..... $1.5 to 2 million per year tops

I would like Frank back too.

As for a DE, I don't see what we have to lose in looking at Willie Whitehead and Chad Ahantou(?). I looked at their brief history and they didn't look any worse than what we have, so what not have them over. See how hungry they are and what they might sign for, and have some competition in training camp......

My pick would be Oronde Gadsden. A solid possesion receiver. His price is about the same as Sanders', but he's younger.

It seems a shame that the year the Cards had a lot of cap room, there have not been many star quality players available. Granted, Colvin would have been a good pick-up, but IMO Holliday isn't "all that". An upgrade in AZ? Yes, but "all that"...no. I would have rather have had Sam Adams (or a 6 pack of Sam Adams). Think about it, the best FA may very well have been David Boston (if he keeps his nose clean).

Taking into account the lack of "premier" free-agents, I would like to see the Cards bring Jamir Miller in for a work-out (if he hasn't signed elsewhere). I have read that he has put some weight on in order to play the defensive end position. If he has fully recovered from his achilles injury (if that is a possibility), he would be an upgrade over what the Cards have there right now IMO.

There will be those who say, "Jamir will never play for the Cardinals", but if the Cards are really trying to change their image, what better way than to bring a player back that they once had issues with. IF he can still play, it would at least make up for one of the Cards losses over the years.

Just my opinion.

As far as receivers go...

I pretty much agree with the preceding posts, but as I and others have mentioned in other posts, I would like to see the Cards trade for Marcus Robinson. A second day pick. Even if it were a 4th rounder.

The advantage of doing this as opposed to waiting till after June 1st is that there would be no signing bonus associated with his initial stay with the Cards. Thus, if he doesn't cut it, cutting him would not be costly.

If the Cards wanted this guy, and they wait till after June 1st, I could see them losing out to some team willing to give some level of signing bonus.

Robinson is a man, but his health is an issue. He would need some serious analysis before aquiring his contract.

Chidi Ahanatou (sp) is negotiating a return with Buffalo, and in fact - has made it clear that he'll take less to play near his home in Toronto...
