I think some of you are getting pretty premature with all your criticism.
Remember they had 6 days in camp. At this point, I think the coaches are more interested in seeing how the "borderline" players do, so they can decide who will be the first cuts.
They pretty much know what they have with the veterans, etc.
I would think a top priority at the moment is still trying to decide who makes the team and who doesn't.
Once that's decided then they can work on the cohesion of the players that do make it. They don't need to see Emmitt, Ship, Blake, etc.
They need to see the guys that are on the cusp, to better be able to make their decisions
I mean "pre-season" doesn't even start for a week yet.
Getting a lot of playing time for many of these guys right now could actually be somewhat of a curse of death. It means they are probably one of the ones "on the bubble" and thus fighting for their lives to not get cut.
