I am sooo tired my friends...3 hours of sleep here in the East watching the game until 2 AM and tossing and turning until 3 AM or more.

I feel for all of us...same ol' same ol', huh?

Although, as I say in my intro, this was the first game in eons we could say with certainty that the Cardinals dominated BOTH lines of scrimmage. Incredible.

And they STILL lost? Go figure.

Same lesson from last year's MNF...getting conservative and ultra cautious with the lead is a sure way to lose the lead.

Sleep well tonight friends.

That's the thought came to my mind on last two series.

Excellent review, as always.

Great write up Walter.

As you said you ALWAYS go for the throat. Hopefully Whiz learned that last night.

Yea, I had trouble getting to sleep last night. I was just all worked up - thought we had a win for the taking on the plate. Unless, someone dropped the plate! Let's hope the Wiz learned something from this. Just don't need to get conservative when you got the momentum! Except for the last 3 minutes and the too many penalties, it was a fun game. Do not think anyone could ask much more from the Defense than what we saw for the first 57 minutes.
Go Cards!!

Cmon guys. The Ravens , Chargers, Steelers, Bears and Patriots would have all done the same thing. They would have put the game in the hands of the defense. I'm not going to second guess Whiz ON THIS ONE because the defense was playing light out all night long. The offense ,Leinart in particular, looked very shakey and we were looking at 3 and long. We forced them to use their second time out and have to go 85 yards to score. I didn't have much more than 85 yards the entire game!
Fundamentally and strategically the teams mentioned would have done the same thing and probably won the game.
If we stop the 9ers on that drive nobody is talking about going for a first down. Instead we are all talking what a great decision he made.
There is no doubt in my mind that if the same situation comes up next week and and we go for the 1st down and it backfires , we will all be talking about how we should have played it close to the vest and punted.
Keep in mind , whiz has to go on a gut feeling and the flo of the game. He has not been a part of the "losing, what could go wrong, here we go again" culture here. In fact, I'll bet they were feeling rather confident with their decision.
One play change this whole game. One stinkin play has us second guessing.

Nice writeup. If only Green had recovered or batted the ball out of the endzone... sigh...
